best AntiVirus?

Well ever since AVG updated to 7.5or whatever it is, i have had issues with it keeping viruses off of my comp. Not only me, if you search google, you will see a ton of issues.

Also, i scanned some warez i downloaded for viruses and AVG found nothing. Then i used a trial version of Prevx1 and it caught it right away.

So now im stuck. i need to not get anymore comp viruses, hehe.. . as for gay viruses, the only one i ever got was from you LazyD but it was cured,thank god!! (kidding) :)
 
thanks lemon. i've had avg on my family desktop for a while but really don't pay attention to it. looks like i better take a second look.
 
Most def.. i would uninstall it. It used to be great but its not anymore. I dont trust it!

Im just trying to find the best and most trusted.

Are you sure thats AVG and not Windows you're talking about? Im just glad I have a Mac. (Hey! Someone had to mention a mac in a thread about viruses, gay or otherwise)
 
NOD32 is small and doesn't take up a lot of system resources or CPU. It's definitely worth trying out, google it. Panda Antivirus is free, but I stopped using it about 4 years ago and haven't looked back since.

I would never have thought any WF users used macs :)
 
NOD32 from ESET Software kicks ass.

It's got a low memory foot print, multiple daily updates. It doesn't cost as much as the other products out there.

The only down side is the interface is a bit clunky, but it's simple to use once you poke through it a few times.
 
NOD32 is the best antivirus I've ever used. It cleans every trojan I had running in background processes, and it got all this crap AVG, Avast, Panda, Nortan, Mcaffee couldn't get.

P.S. Mcaffee is probably the most annoying and the worst.

Just because your NOT running windows doesn't mean that you are 100% safe. Running linux you still need to worry about your box being compromised.

Not only is it from 5 years ago, but there are virtually no known cases of it. I better hurry up and protect myself from this monster.

I've never had a virus, trojan etc infect my linux computers and I've never used antivirus. In fact I don't even think they make anti-virus for Linux because you have to actually intentionally install a virus on your computer, and not many people do that. At least I don't.
