I've been behind the scenes with DT, LT and Cake. DT under tracks by far the worst of any of the platforms. Sorry to call anyone out, but if you are running on a DT platform, they may not have the "shaving" functionality built in but you are definitely losing on average 7 - 10% of your conversions due to under tracking.

LT is solid, but very hard to manage a network on. It's been a while since I've used it, so maybe they have improved the functionality.

Cake is awesome. It does have a few issues, but no system is perfect. It has the most accurate tracking of any system I have used. Even so, we audit stats on a weekly basis and add back the under tracked conversions.

I have never used Hitpath, but am buddies with some of the guys there. Everything I have ever heard about the system is that it is solid.

As far as the scrubbing features... Split test your campaigns! A good network has this feature hidden. You might see an offer on one network for $10 and it on a competing network for $12, but they are scrubbing 30% of the conversions. That would bring your true payout down to $8.40, even though they are advertising at $12.

All that glitters is not gold.

As the programmer for a network with it's own in-house system, the tracking aspect is the easiest of anything. I don't think we see much difference when we work with advertisers that use DT or Linktrust or another system, at least not in a pattern I recognize, but if these systems do have issues then it's utter incompetence on their part. I think laregly the issue is due to mis-use by the people using the system, not the systems themselves. I handle tech issues that our advertisers bring to us and I'm often stunned by the lack of knowledge by many companies, in how tracking works in general, how their platform works, or anything else. Just about every tracking issue we've encountered has been due to human error on their part.

We looked briefly at the other platforms when we started a few years ago and I'm very glad we went with a custom system. It simply destroys all of the off-the-systems. Sure they have some things that we don't, but nothing we care about, and if we wanted it we could do it. On the flipside we have a lot - and can do a lot - that other networks can't because of their systems.

what this guy said ^^^^^

When your using cake, hitpath, hasoffers.directtrack, etc you are binded to it. Have limited freedom over it. sure they let you add api's etc but going custom you have it functioning exactly and make it look exactly how you like it. it is "your tracking"

Anyone tried offerit? I like their pricing model and it looks to have a lot of features.

HasOffers works just fine for me, but I have experience with all of the main systems. I haven't seen offerit yet though.

I've been looking for the answer to this question, but after reading these posts I've decided to check out Hasoffers a bit further. Some of the others may be okay, too, but I'll start with one first.
