Believe in KARMA?

Yeah, Karma doesn't have to do anything with religion or mystical forces, IMO. If you put out positive energy, you'll receive positive energy. Conversely, if you put out negative energy, you'll receive negative energy. Simple shit, but hugely powerful.

I do believe in Karma also. I'm a christian though and its said in the bible that everything bad you do to other people will come back to you 7 times more worst.
And everything good you do will also come back to you.

Karma as Cause and Effect is of course quantifiable, but few humans would ever think of it like that... The general consensus on the definition of karma seems to include the concept of a person getting as much as they give, even if there is no relationship at all between the getting and the given.

Think of it this way; If I was the only good person in a world full of truly evil people, then any good I do for others will be taken advantage of and I'll never, ever get a chance to receive any good deeds in return. -Excepting only if I 'give' one to myself.

Karma can't exist in such a place, so it is obvious that Karma is not a mystical force that tallies up your good deeds and pays you back somehow.

What karma CAN be is a feeling of you receiving good in the same envirnoment where you previously put in some good yourself. That's not mystical; that's cause and effect and it can be tracked and quantified.

If I say im smoking a cigarette, it implies I lit that cigarette.
Just saying what you said can be quantified as hard worker rather then "karma"

Personally I think Karma is a joke. Same with luck. It's all basically a Math.random in this world.

It's pretty common sense that if you're nice to someone and give them something, they might feel obligated to do the same in return should the opportunity arise. You can call that whatever you want, but sounds karma to me. I don't necessarily believe in some magical force or balance in the world, but being helpful and respectful goes a long way in getting what you want.

No where in my reasoning and experience was a mention of how hard I work.

I don't think you're talking about the same "karma" as OP.

"karma" is something like, you get shit in this life because you were a shithead in a previous life or some BS like that.

What happened to you is exactly what you described, people helping you because you helped them.

Karma? Imaginary force. People create it in their minds and if it makes them feel better about doing good things, it's not so bad. Still delusional. To sum it up with my favorite quote:

shit happens

People, karma isn't a belief or about believing anything. The definition of the word karma is "intentional action" and the thing that it infers is that there is a result from every intentional action, sort of like a generalized version of Newton's 3rd law.

It's kind of obvious that karma is a fact of life, isn't it? I mean, you wouldn't do anything if you didn't expect there to be a result from it. The part people don't get is that there are always results even if they think there won't be and most of the time they don't really know what the results are going to be.

wow

Why can't you selfish fuckers do good without expecting anything in return. It's everyone's responsibility to be beneficial to society, not just because you'll get something in return. Greedy ass motherfuckers...

Besides wtf is this mystical bullshit. Maybe I should be a good boy this year so santa will send me my presents.

Of course karma is true. It's the same as treat people how you want to be treated. Act like a complete cunt to everyone, don't be too surprised if people treat you the same way.

sort of like a generalized version of Newton's 3rd law.

It's kind of obvious that karma is a fact of life, isn't it?

No. Newton's Third Law is a fact of life. Karma restates the obvious and adds a supernatural (imaginary) twist to it.

Karma does not have to have a metaphysical belief system.

Its the idea that what you do and how you treat people around you affects your life and how people treat you.

If that is not obvious you got problems.
