Just kidding.

He sucks cock. So does his gay camera crew. I mean, really? Dead sheep in the middle of a field? Really?

Fuck you, Bear Grylls.

That guy is a clown. I turned his show on like 2 years ago for about 15 mins. He was trying to make his way down to this river and instead of navigating his way down intelligently, he jumped off this cliff into the river. Yep. REAL smart. Stranded in the wilderness, jump off a cliff into water of unknown depth. Broken leg in a remote location would likely equal death...or at least raise the probability by a pretty large factor. As soon as I saw him do that, I turned it off and never watched it again. The dude in Survivorman though is pretty good (Les something). I guess it doesn't make for as "exciting" tv, but at least it's realistic.

I watched the episode where he squeezed water out of elephant POO directly into his mouth. I think he's earned the right to cheat here and there. How many of YOU are man enough to do that?

Survivor man does it right.... but he stopped doing the show because it appears he doesn't want to die out there one of these days

I think maybe you didn't see the whole show. The guy is the real deal. Just look up some info on him. On numerous occasions when this has come up in the show he has always done it intelligently. There are numerous things you can do to guesstimate the depth of the water (such as dropping a long branch straight down and seeing what happens) and he always "tests the waters" before blindly jumping.

i used to like survivor man because he didnt have a camera crew. then i saw an episode where he goes to sleep and next it shows him talking into the camera about how he was just chased by a tiger. WTF. that's the kinda shit i want to see. bear grylls with a camera crew all the way

While he doesn't have dullspace status, Bear makes for some good TV. The need to make Man Vs. Jersey Shore.

Dude used to be British Special Forces and has a ton of knowledge on surviving in inhospitable habitats. He's legit.

Although there's nothing funnier than watching him drink his own urine when you know his cameraman's drinking a Pepsi in the background.

Bear is the shit, just because some of his situations are set-up doesn't mean it's not still way more bad ass than anything we do.

The 2 shows are completely different

Man vs Wild is done more for demonstration purposes. It's pretty obvious he has a camera crew and just like stunts are done, everything seems to be planned out to the point where no one is going to get hurt.

But if he bites a snake's head off and then pees in it, then drinks the urine, it's worth watching.

The Survivorman shows follow a premise- put the guy somewhere for 7 days or until he can get to a certain location where he knows other people are going to be. He researches the environment before he goes in and does have a crew, but they keep a certain distance and are there for safety. There are a couple shows I know of where he had to call them in early because it was not certain he would be able to get enough water.

his show is for entertainment i would never take anything he said seriously. I dunno if the ideas he comes up with are his or its planned by someone else and he just does it but he does some stupid shit that you should never do if your in that situation.

i just saw an episode where he had to give himself and enema on a raft, using water that was full of bird crap.

I saw that one last nite which I found hard to believe given that water quality. Same episode he's eating these marble size fish eyeballs. Prior to that episode he bit the head off a frog like it was snack.

The guy knows alot of stuff but aside from a plane crashing in one of these remote areas I doubt any of us we'll be in the situations he shows.
