A shitload of my FB friends are posting stuff from this app...
FarmVillain on Facebook
If you don't want to click the link they have a bunch of pretty funny/fake Farmville status updates like...
"Master Butcher achieved! You have successfully slaughtered 1000 cows in a 24 hour interval on your farm. Oh my!"
I'm guessing their shit is going pretty viral, just from what I've seen on my own FB account.
It looks like they're monetizing with a partnership with Jolt gaming, I've done a little searching and can't find any info about an affiliate program with that company.
This next question may go in design/development, but I'll ask here...
Me and my friends could come up with some WAAY funnier stuff than this, non-farmville related.
How tough would an app like this be to develop? I'd imagine pretty easy, but honestly have no clue (not a programmer)...
Anyone making money off of a viral app?
I think if I could get one developed, get it going viral and monetize it, probably with gaming offers or something, it could be gold.
Thoughts? Experiences?
Thanks,
-Scott
