Does anyone know how to open, or if such a type of account exists, where you can get an account # and routing #, without having to provide your SS#? Im thinking like a high school kiddie checking account type thing. Also, when opening a bank account, do u REALLY have to give them the correct SS#?

Yes, you really have to give them your real SS.

Doing otherwise is fraud, and a felony isn't too much fun. :)

You may want to look into offshore banking, you won't find what you're looking for in the US - especially after the Patriot Act...

No WAY can u open a credit card without a social security number. The main account holder must ALWAYS have a SS # on file. Otherwise, how is the CC company to determine your credit worthiness. There are online banking options, but a SS# is still required. I dont know about offshore banking, thats an interesting idea.

there's several ways of doing it. It's impossible to open it through the internet, you can only pull it on the phone. and the CC company can know your credit worthiness without knowing your SS#, because CC companies work together with other companies and recommend each other clients. It's too much to type here and it's not in my interest to teach other people how it's done.

Just tell me how you get a referral from another credit card company. I have literally had over 100 CC's in my name. Never seen it done without a SS#.

Registering your Bank Account

Did you have to first register your checking account with them, and also fax them your license? The bank is in Russia, makes me somewhat weary of having AdSense send them $$.

to open a bank account in United States, you MUST have a valid SS#
if you would like to apply for one, go to directdepositcard.com
when you provide your SS#, there is a software called city something and that software checks your SS# with the data you've provided to make sure if it matches what's on database. like your mailing address, your real name, your birth date etc. so there is no way around it. specialy after Patriot Act, things got tougher.
"The USA PATRIOT Act is a Federal Law that requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. You will be asked to provide your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. You may also be asked to provide documentation as proof of identification."

Yeah, you can fax them your car license or one of the other options. They don't use this info for tax purposes, only to verify that you are the owner of the account. That's it!

You referring to Wachovia bank? Wachovia bank has branches worldwide, if I am correct! Anyway, Uniclear main transactions are in US$. Though you can change valuta to Euro, canadian dollar, etc.

Uniclear is located in Hong Kong and is an online financial institution (NOT physical)!

I used them for several transactions and are satisfied with their service. Probably, I will use them again the near future!
