What are people using for virus protection on windows? I've been using AVG forever, but it's been getting a lot worse with false positives (mostly cracks & keygens) so I'm thinking of changing.

Any recommendations?

Avast! Matey.
Works good. Bit of a hog though.
Are you sure those are false positives though? The fact that it's a keygen doesn't exactly suggest that.

I tried Avast a while back and wasn't keen on it (can't remember why). 99% sure... a lot of stuff being picked up that I've had for years that has been scanned a million times before.

Prob not false pos's really, more likely some anti-piracy shit between software companies and AVG's makers..

Lazy - I hear you too on this - AVG 7.5 (paid) was great for me but now ver 8.0 Internet security is driving my wife & I nuts. Even turning off features it seems to slow the system down to a crawl. Why did they ruin a great product ....

+1 for NOD32. Has updates that truly are auto (small little bubble pops up to tell you) with no interaction required. Uses very little resources, and just generally is not annoying.

I thought it was just me who isn't liking the new AVG - bummer! I turned off the Link Scanner section which was really slowing things down, and that improved performance quite a bit.

Anyone have a review of ZoneLabs antivirus? I had it before (paid version) and it worked ok??

Thanks

Nobody using norton antivirus?- is this an alarm signal for me?
Also used in the past bitdefender- was always slowing my processes for some reason- just replaced that with norton 2005 and since then I just kept updating it.

BitDefender is sweet, but yeah norton sucks
