Cool, thanks for the explanation. Just as a heads-up, the obfuscated code is actually larger in size than the same code with just whitespace removed. The obfuscated code is 1161 characters long. The javascript with just unnecessary whitespace removed is 1013 characters, for a difference of about 150 chars. For kicks, with 10 million ad loads a day, that amounts to a savings of 1.5GB of bandwidth a day. And it doesn't look suspicious to nosey people.
