I do agree that if you can make it through an atomic bomb you can make it through anything. However I don't think you can compare bombing one city in a country which already had an established economy to demoralizing an entire continent and socializing them (since this took place over hundreds of years) to feel like they have no upward mobility.

Yes those countries are corrupt but only because there was no infrastructure after the imperialist nations left allowing corruption to move in.

I personally believe that every human being has the capability to make a better life for themselves so this particular theory (which a lot of people believe) makes a lot of sense to me.

Although I agree with most of what you have said I do think it's pretty common knowledge that white people do get preferential treatment even if it is only subconsciously. Same goes for tall people and good looking people. Besides the fact that studies have shown this I personally believe that I've experienced preferential treatment which has gotten me to where I'm at today considering I've had the same upbringing as you.
 
Only group of people without any advantages are white men. Now in UK employers will be able to hire a woman over a man of equal merit under new equality measures. Jobs in police, fire dept ans so forth are given to minorities such as Asians and Blacks. Because government thinks they are under-represented. So jobs are not given to the best people anymore. Would it be alright to let white sprinters run 20 meters shorter distance in 100m sprint in order to equal chances? That is exactly what's happening on jobs market.

Equality rights are insult for all Blacks, Asians and women who were as good or better than a white men but now will be regarded as a people who landed the job only because of the sex or skin color.

There are a lot of countries that didn't spend shit on defense and it didn't result in them developing great economies, so your logic is flawed.

In fact, Germany just got finished paying off their debt from WWII this year, and developed a dominant world economy while doing so under a crushing debt. They've also suffered the psychological trauma of being the guilty parties behind the Holocaust, had families split up between East and West Germany, and since reunification have carried half of Europe on it's back. I'd say their recent experience qualifies them for comparison to the imperialism that African & South American etc. countries experienced in the 17th century.

And to the other guy - it was two atomic bombs on different cities, not one.

Hmm, I can't think of any examples. The economies might not be as huge as those of Germany and Japan. But any industrialized nation that didn't spend a lion's share of it's budget on defense seems to be providing a decent standard of living for its citizens.

Of course, those nations that were colonized in any shape or form (militarily or economically) by someone else are not doing too good regardless of their spending habits.

I'd say their recent experience qualifies them for comparison to the imperialism that African & South American etc. countries experienced in the 17th century.

I don't think that Germany and Japan were exploited by the rest of (future) NATO in the same way as the African colonies were exploited by the old Europe.

Plenty of people (nations) got fucked by Anglo-Saxons over the centuries, and I'm willing to argue that for as long as it takes. That set them back greatly.

But that doesn't justify underachievers who happen to be descendants of those places living in the US today.

Those two facts are are both true. And arguing against one doesn't validate the other.

Africa has the most genetic diversity of all continents in the world. Take a look at a few photos of groups of African friends, and you will notice individuals with middle eastern, pacific, european, asiatic and indus features. We all came from there.

I watched an awesome national geographic documentary where scientists were trying to hunt down the oldest blood lines/DNA and it led them to some tiny ass remote village in Africa.

It was fucking amazing, the people were black, sort of. They were a sort of Carmel color, they had slanted eyes like Asians, high cheek bones like Europeans, and some of them even had blue and green eyes.

They basically had a little bit of everything and the team of scientists said from what they can tell humanity originated from this tribe/village/dna of people.

Now, was it propaganda or legit? No idea, but it certainly seemed plausible. I was pretty surprised to see a tribe of light skinned Africans in the middle of Africa just chillen.

If I wasn't so lazy I'd go find the documentary, it was pretty cool shit ';'
 
I'm surprised no one has mentioned non-US racism. The racism we have here in the USA is NOTHING compared to Southern Asians, especially the Japanese.

In the north of Japan the skin color there is quite a bit lighter than in the south. Basically in Japan it's considered low class to have darker colored skin, (even just a few shades off stark white) and just about every skin care product imaginable over there is sold with Whitening ingredients. All of it... Looks like putting toothpaste on your skin... Dries to a powdery white like Geisha makeup, but less obvious.

Many other quirks like that happen too in other countries; naturally Koreas hate each other, but it's not a skin thing. Different shades of skin cause awkwardness between poorer countries like Cambodia and Myanmar and Richer ones like Thailand.

Most of the south of Asia is prejudiced against Chinese, and ALL of the rest of Asia is prejudiced against India... Oh man the things SE Asians parents tell their kids about Indians would make you shoot milk out of your nose!

There's a popular Thai saying, kind of a nursery rhyme which all Thai kids know well, and have known it for a thousand years. Roughly translated is means:

'If you are walking through the woods with a stick, and come across a snake and an Indian at the same time, use the stick on the Indian.'

-Harsh, but that's just Asian culture. If you were to ask them if they were prejudiced towards Indians, they'd say, "Of course... It is only smart..." With no hint of humor nor sorrow.

The difference here is saying the same about another race in the USA will get your butt sued... We can't behave like that here, too much power in minorities. :bowdown:
