Not A Fucking chance. I don't think many people understand the direct relation between money, power and monopoly.
When Microsoft was the kingmaker, they didnt let anyone succeed at all cost. Then came Google, they did the same dominated the last decade untill Apple came. Now its Apple which will rule the post-PC era.
Android will most likely remain a phone system and iOS will be the primary system for tablets. In the next 1-2 years, laptops/netbooks will be phased out and its only going to be tablets. Androids will continue to sell with their plastic body BS to third world countries and cheap ass americans but the majority will still prefer a iPad. If Apple can set iPad mini pricing right, they will kick Android OS out of the gate atleast in the tablet market.

I guess you didn't see where the judge hates Apple, and said the only way to stop this is to invalidate the patents which is not going to happen.
And Laptops phased out in the next year or two? You are smoking crack, son. EVEN if they were phased out, Windows is the only proper OS to make a legitimate tablet that you can work on. Not some limited ass iOS that hasn't changed in 5 years.

Apple made around $13 BILLION in profits during Oct, Nov and December of last year. During those 3 months they made more than Google did in ALL of 2011.

Would be nice if people realise that's all Apple is good, but for now I expect the sheep to all be showing off their new iPhones in a weeks time, not realising it is already inferior to many other phones out there.

They will be lucky to be a tack in Apple's little toe.
HTC had a nice little run last year when Google used them for their phone but they have since been dumped for Samsung.
It's going to be a huge uphill battle for HTC to compete on it's own now.
That's a big if.
Look at the iPod Touch pricing, and it doesn't even have a data connection. There's no way an iPad Mini is going to match that. Where does it even fit into their ecosystem? $200 for an iPod Touch, $400 for a full-sized iPad? Is Apple really going to try and sell an iPad Mini for $300 when Amazon and Google are selling theirs for $200?
People *LOVE* the Nexus 7. It's gotten amazing reviews and is far from a cheap piece of trash plastic.
Android high-end devices are quite solid and have solid specs. Hell, the iPhone 5 doesn't have any better hardware than the Galaxy S3 or the One X and they've both been out for months. Plus, one can easily make the argument that Jelly Bean is a superior operating system..
That depends on what measure is being looked at and for what time period. IBM is the second biggest US employer after Walmart and has ten times more workers than Apple.
