Don't be blinded by the specs. Firewire had better specs when it was first released too.

This isn't anything that a USB 4.0 couldn't keep up with. Personally, I'd like to see it go that way instead of these special snowflake ports. I've got some USB devices that are over 10 years old and being able to plug them into my computer now or another 10 years from now without a tangled mass of adapters brings me much comfort.

Oh, I totally agree it was an unnecessary form factor change.

And then each compartment is stacked with wafers of batteries. It's like 12 or 14 individual batteries or some shit.

Charging a premium for sub a 3lb laptops, I am shocked I tell you. I have no issue with the usb-c port and other laptop manufacturers are releasing laptops with them this year.

If you want legacy ports or more power then choose the air or pro line. Personally I stopped buying macbooks when they dropped the matte display option.

The pro has 2 legacy usb ports, still need a dongle to connect to ethernet lol.

There are 12 hour battery windows boxes that weigh 2 lbs (omgz), shitty little netbooks. Asus has a decent line of zenbooks, only 10 hours of life but comes stock with 8gb ram, 256gb ssd, etc and 0.5" thick.

Honestly though, if battery duration is your main concern, buy a $70 battery bank....

This is going to get worse and worse. They are making these devices for the masses. These companies could give fuckall about "advanced" users. I hope the market will one day correct this but I doubt it. If the tech industry keeps making it so no one can actually use these devices for anything beyond email and browsing, they will find themselves severely lacking new developers.

Oh, suck a bag of dicks. Simplicity in technology is what you want, unless you like a bunch of complicated BS that doesn't work without pulling your hair out.

Some people like to add 3+9-5+3-8 to arrive at the number 2.

I like to add 1+1.

But realistically, they need two versions of everything. One version for the techholes, and another for the rest of us who enjoy life outside of technology.
