Apple Engineer Talks About the New MacBook

I didn't find it particularly funny. I hate that kind of humor. It's just painful to watch. I hated Frasier for that kind of humor.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is in the same boat. Shitty smaller non removable battery and no SD card slot which have been staples of the Galaxy line. Now done away with for a thinner profile and rounded edges. Good job Samsung. You've given the world glass front and back and a metal frame, something Apple did years ago and have forgone pretty much the only two things that set you apart from the rest. Bravo fucktards.

This is going to get worse and worse. They are making these devices for the masses. These companies could give fuckall about "advanced" users. I hope the market will one day correct this but I doubt it. If the tech industry keeps making it so no one can actually use these devices for anything beyond email and browsing, they will find themselves severely lacking new developers.
What type of humor?
This was probably the funniest thing I've seen in yrs on Youtube. Not sure where the original video is from but they just added text to it like the Hitler vids that I also find hilarious. But this was perfect, some toothless Mexicans are supposedly apple engineers.. and Jony forgot to mill out the USB ports.. and that laugh!
Fatbat is in Spain though, I think, so he knows Spanish well and it's likely much less funny if you know what he's saying in Spanish.. just like the Hitler vids prob suck if you know German.

They're not saving money by not including a glowing Apple logo, the glow comes from the LCD backlight which is already there anyway.... making fun of a battery that lasts all day.. and that's it. I keep forgetting that this is the Macbook, not Macbook Pro. They have to differentiate between the two somehow, if you want all the bells and whistles you buy the Macbook Pro.

lol just got a new macbook pro at work and it has 2 usb ports. So...mouse and 1 other item....

And, my boss bought it, I told him not to buy an expensive one, but it ended up with only 120gb HD....wut.......and OSX takes up near 100 of that on a brand new computer. lol can't even install more than 3 applications without running out of room.

Nah, my Spanish is really rubbish considering how long I've been here. It's a bit embarrassing really, but a lot of people around these parts speaks English so it's not a necessity to get by. It would be highly beneficial as lots of Spaniards don't speak English and knowing Spanish does give you more opportunity to expand your social circles and business opportunities.
I dunno, I was a bit drunk last night. It was a bit funnier the second time around. Frasier humor, I don't know what you would call it, but basically improbable situations that supposedly smart people find themselves in that are so illogical and unrealistic to the point of being painful to watch. This isn't quite the same though, so maybe not a good comparison.

Ps. OS X taking up 100 gigs is wildly inaccurate, did you add an extra zero?
RJ45 is in damn near every commercial office in this country. The most universally used general network connection everywhere I've ever worked....not sure what world you live in?
Whatever comes installed from the factory is 100 gigs, I'll take a screenshot on Monday, it's 5 days old... and my added files are all in one place.
I only use it for ios development, only, no reason to give Apple more money for an overpriced p.o.s...
This is a perfect situation for new companies to emerge.
Since everyone is so busy copying Apple etc. we will see another new and customer oriented company emerging soon - like Apple in 2000s
The market for such a company is huge and as long as they will avoid getting killed by takeover - we are talking here about new big player.
Then all asian brands will do usual - start copying it (Sony, Samsung, Toshiba etc) while currently innovative companies will become dinosaurs surviving thanks to their monopoly. Same as with Microsoft, Intel, IBM etc.

The Macbook has a USB-c port which sounds like a nice thing (for the future) except for the fact that current USB devices can't fit into it! So it's only backward compatible with a $70 dongle. That's pretty lame. If they're going to do something like that they should throw in a free dongle at least. I mean what devices currently use USB-c.. like none.
You also have to have a $30 dongle for your ethernet connection.
Normally you want to minimize the number of connections in wires, not needlessly introduce them...
