One of the more "risky" ways to make money on myspace could be (no I'm not doing it) is account pishing, where people gather 100's of account login details then send bulletins out to all of the friends in all of these accounts...
They don't worry about making and building up their own accounts, they just take existing accounts of others, don't worry about accounts getting shut down and just move on to steal new accounts.

The odds of getting sued are slim, true.
But, Myspace is looking to make an example out of a few lucky candidates. Who wants "FOX" on their behind?

To be honest the "Myspace is looking to make an example out of a few lucky candidates" has been going around for ages. If they went after the biggest offenders and actually took them to court then the money to defend themselves wouldnt be a problem it would be down to myspace to come up with sufficient proof.
Myspace woud have to justify in court how allowing bands and prornstars to promote thier videos and bad music is allowable but promoting our own site isn't. If myspace wants to zero commercial policy that will have to include ALL types of commericialism such as bands.
