Is it worth the time and effort to refer your buddies to networks as part of a publisher referral program?

Do networks really pay these out to their affiliates?

I work with a few networks I trust but want to avoid any scammers if I expand my efforts. I was going to hit up my AM's but wanted to consult the WF forum first.

Does anybody work with decent networks that honor referral programs and have deals that don't blow so everyone can make a bit more $$$ in the process?

Just want to know what's realistic, what % is normal, and what to expect.

Thanks in advance.

We pay a 5% commission for life for affiliate referrals. It's a good way to make residual income.

Good networks recognize the value of referrals and honor the commissions as a good long term business strategy.

Hello friend,

I no see reason why no should refer friend. If they make 1 million total year and you get 3% rate that is 30,000 for year.

30,000 no is going make you rich but I rather have 30,000 money extra then no have.

Good luck bro

We paid out tens of thousands last year in referral commissions alone. Effortless way to make money if you know some good marketers. Most pay between 2-5%, some pay for life, others pay for 6 months or a year.

Don't believe the hype a lot of these life time commissions, end up flipping the script on you and cancel the referral commission whenever they feel like it. Many networks engage in this practice so just keep that in mind.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, it's a great start. I think I could make some decent money if the networks honor my payments month after month.

You guys nailed it w/ regards to the risk factor, what's stopping a network from simply inventing a reason to stop paying me my referral bonuses? We shall see. Some of my referrals can easily produce $10K, $20K, and $30K a month in rev so I see it as a great extra source of income but may need to tread lightly.

Any other feedback is welcomed, this is a question I've had for some time and never put it out there.

^^THIS^^

Nothing is wrong with promoting networks and getting referrals, but there are many networks, including larger ones, who have changed their programs from "lifetime" to "not worth shit."

You can make money as long as you refer people that will be happy with street payouts. A network can't give as high as payouts to a referral they are paying someone else 5% for. Bigger affiliates tend to not want to give you free money forever just because you referred them and rather take higher payouts usually unless they are loyal to you for getting them started or something.

if you're friends have any brains and are doing any volume they will complain to the network that they want higher payouts on offers. So they'll clone their account so they don't have to pay the referral fee.

Hence fucking you out of your commission.

Please no network dick sucking responses cause even the best ones have fucked their referrals.

Don't bother. Every network just cancels the program after you work your ass off at it. Then they claim that lifetime commissions they kept telling you about is the lifetime of the program and they just don't give a fuck about you.

I am getting over 5 years referral earnings from paypopup and few other networks.
But it is true that it does not look like as they show on the pictures...

You must be lucky to get someone who makes tons of money and than you must be lucky that this company will last for longer time... Actually even I have every day new referrals my referral earning are not growing accordingly even it should be geometrical growth.

Also I hate companies who do not offer lifetime referral commission but only 1 year or even 6 months... I am never going to send them people which I already referred to life time... I would loose all earnings after month 6... this is like snowmotion... I dont understand how someone can use their referral system.

Once even happened to me that manager of program said that they are not going to pay my 1500USD referral earnings because it was too easy money for me... Yes I lost that plus I moved that webmaster from other network there so I lost referral earnings totally... Company saved 5% and I never sent anyone new even I could...

To make good money from referrals you need to work a lot even it does not look like... for someone it looks easy but from my 5 year experience I can say that in last 3 years my referrals earnings are not growing at all.

Man this is good feedback! Stuff I didn't even consider, so thanks.

Shit, seems like a hell of a lot of work for a big gamble, too much stuff out of my control really. And yeah, my contacts know the industry and those that don't are fast learners so I could see even the best of them cutting me out and creating a clone account and just pushing that.

The idea of the referrals is what hooked me in, but I can see a lot of it is smoke and mirrors so I will take this all with a grain of salt.
