Anyone in Kentucky?



Ya'll should start a meetup group for IM in KY. I'm in one for programming in Seattle and it's been great for networking and getting work. This is the one I'm in Seattle Unity3D User Group (Seattle, WA) - Meetup

Just from getting referrals from people I met in the group I've got all the side work I can do for $45+/hr, after I billed one company $30/hr they insisted on 45...lol

I'm just happy getting the experience and work I can do from home.

But it's been amazing for networking with local people working at local businesses doing shit I'm interested in. When I started there were under 100 members, now it's at 550+ members and big companies donate free shit all the time to the group or send representatives to give presentations.
 
^^ i've done that a few times already, Kentucky and Louisville just isnt the type of town where that takes off. Been there and done it, but thanks for bringing it up
 
Some things have come up so I will be super late. I'll aim to swing by around 4:45-5pm. Maybe a few will still be there...
 
I should be there 2-ish, assuming I don't get lost in downtown Louisville.

Just gather names now and interest. Date prob in Feb most likely.
 
I live in Indy and the Lou is only a couple of hours away, so let me know if you guys come up with a date, and Ill make the drive down.
