Anyone hunt leopards?

There's a lot of reasons to hunt a leopard other than just sport.

antihunting people are ridiculous just in the amazement of how fast their opinions change on the subject the moment a wild animal cruises into their neighborhood.

I'm all for defending yourself, but not a fan of trophy hunting. It's especially hard to imagine killing one of those beautiful animals after getting the chance to see them up close and personal at a wildlife safari.
After seeing a video like that, I spend some time watching "When Animals Attack" type videos for a while. Gives me some kind of sick satisfaction.

Little bit different there chief, these faggots went out into the woods looking to kill animals like a bunch of hicks and 3rd world scum.

Anti-hunters need to understand that most of this nation's largest undeveloped tracts of land have been preserved by responsible, license and tag-purchasing hunters. Millions of acres of game lands are open to public use in this country at no cost to non-hunters(bikers, bird watchers, hikers, and campers) as a result of conservation of hunters.

When a state forest or park is eyed for mineral extraction, and the mineral rights are detached from surface rights, hunters and fisherman are among the earliest to protest. The hydraulic-fracturing, subsidized, corporate welfare that is going to take place all over the country is currently being vehemently opposed by hunters, while the vast majority of American's are doing little more than watching Gasland on HBO.

Roosevelt, a big game hunter, is responsible alone for preserving over 150 to perhaps 200 million acres of land in the United States.

Big game hunting for predators, in Africa, is the lightest impact method of preserving them besides donating money for habitat and park rangers, and never visiting for pictures. Photo safaris are extremely land intensive(large road networks to get pictures of all species, attractive lodging, and constant wildlife disruption in high-traffic areas). When hunting is banned in Africa, poaching goes through the roof, and non-hunters are not picking up the funding. There are far more areas that are acceptable to hunters in Africa for use than there are for photo-safarists. No group of people want to stare at a patch of woods with nothing there until a game animal passes through, in large numbers, besides hunters. Many are willing to pay handsomely for that opportunity, employing rangers and paying hunting fees in remote areas that no photo-safari would ever dream of setting up shop.

Anti-hunting groups are gaining enormous amounts of ground these days, and they are being driven by hungry attorneys and unscrupulous business people. The consequences of their legal actions is resulting in the consolidation of food production, while smothering small farmers, banning hunting in entire states without providing monies to protect habitat for dramatic spikes in populations that result form said bans, and employing humane pseudo-police who are far from sane and rational. These humane police are acquiring the right to fine citizens who are anything but irresponsible pet owners.

If you decide to donate money to an animal rights or welfare organization, spend some time looking at their primary objectives and how your money is being spent. Many are simply funneling money to attorneys who are either intentionally or unintentionally making it much easier for big agriculture to run over small farmers, and they are not giving very much money to support and house stray and neglected animals at all.

I watched 3 young mountain lions playing 25 feet away from me when I was biking near my parent's house a while back.. scared the shit out of me so I biked away as fast as I could

On a happier note, I found a bunch of videos related to the original:

Please do continue to bitch and rage about the "oh so poor" leopard while eating fucking meat at dinner. That leopard probably died a much more humane death than half the food we eat.

Seriously, fucking hypocrites, piss me off.

I never looked at it from this angle.

your argument is flawed. The example you provided highlight two very different conditions. In this video, these rednecks are hunting for enjoyment. When a wild animal cruises into your home, it is unpredictable, and is of imminent danger to your community, therefore you have a right to defend yourself.

Therefore, it's not logical to state that all anti-hunting (you missed the hyphen there) people are against the act of killing of a wild animal, because what most educated rational people are concerned about is whether the reasons justify the killing.

Making you feel like strong men or I-have-a-license-and-my-daddy,president-does-it is a poor excuse for slaughtering animals.

consider yourself lawyered.

I never connected the two as the other reason. I just said their opinions change quickly when the issue affects them and that there are a lot of reasons to hunt other than sport. The video is from a tv show, so I'm sure it was a legal hunt. How do you know they were hunting it for fun or sport in the first place? That sounds like an assumption. It might have/probably is a wild leopard on private land like a ranch or something and they were called out for an opportunity to hunt it. In fact thats probably how they knew it was out there somewhere. I'm certain they didn't just say hey lets go hunt a leopard today and grab some guns and wander through a field. Hunting is a lot more regulated than that for the purpose of preserving the animals. Especially endangered species.

The comments on that video saying they wish the leopard would have killed him are ridiculous and shows a complete lack of connection.
