Anyone hired a 'virtual assistant' to do basic seo stuff?

has anyone hired a virtual assistant, and gotten them to do basic seo stuff (I'd mostly use them for blog outreach and basic content generation).

I've heard that hiring from the philipines is often recommended, as they are easy to work with.

How much truth is there in this? What are your experiences? And where would you find them?

Upwork.com. Indians versus Filipinos is night and day. I've had Indian workers fill out spreadsheets with totally fake information in order to make it look like they were working. When confronted the guy said "please give me another chance" lol.

Filipinos never do that kind of stuff. They are generally honest and somewhat hard-working

I can also vouch for Filipinos. If you have a job that might require any sort of actual thinking/problem solving, the slightly higher rates they ask for are worth it. Plus they just seem to be more friendly in general.

However if you have something extremely basic that needs done, you might be able to get by with paying some dude in Bangladesh 80 cents an hour.

I personally prefer Asians as VA. They tend to have proper work attitude. Indians due to their large population (bigger than China) can be a hit or miss. Sometime you get people who are great but most time you don't. Remember if you pay peanut, don't expect to see an elephant.

It’s a little biased for me to suggest hiring a VA from the Philippines =), but considering that English is the first language there, it’s one of the best. I think you should consider the kind of stuff that you want to outsource and maybe your budget. There are many good VA centers all around the world, regardless of country they are. Just make sure to do a good interview, before hiring someone.

Yeah, that is the best thing i have done in past few month! But, be careful, get recommendations, or on sites like freelancer or fiverr, read the reviews and comments, so u know you have hired the best!
