anyone having trouble getting sites indexed these days?

its kind of weird, that last 4 mini sites that ive made, i can't get indexed.

I usually make a site, add blog, ping the site, add a few social media links.

then it'll get indexed in 2-5 days.

But on some of these sites ive been waiting 2/12 weeks and they still arent showing up in the index.

is this happening to anyone else?
 


these domains have no history as far as i can tell.

Are there any members of squirt that can submit one of my sites for me to see if it helps?

I got a site indexed quicker than usual yesterday, less than 24 hours. Only made a few blog comments for backlinks, no social bookmarking or anything.
 
I recently had that problem. I just registered a new domain and got indexed in under 24 hours. The old domain was only advertised through adwords btw. I guess google didn't like the old site too much -_-
 
i built some squidoo lens, pinged them, plime.com.
its weird, ive never had this probelm pefore
 
no problems here. in fact i've been finding my shadier sites actually index quicker and last longer this quarter
 
Maybe this is a total noob question (which I'm fine with) but how do you tell if your site is banned from the big g? Is there a way to find out or does it just never really get indexed?
 
Indexing is not the problem, unless you're explicitly banned you will get indexed even with a single backlink.

The problem I've experienced recently with some of my spammier sites is that Google is expanding the sandbox-more sites are getting sandboxed for longer, so you can be indexed and search for a really specific string of text from your page and not show up in the SERPS.

I think it may have to do with adding too much content too quickly, but I'm not sure.
 
indexing has become easier for me the past few months...sitemap.xml, pinging & social bookmarking work like a charm
 
i built some links to them this weekednd and the last 5 mini sites ive made havent been indexed. Its all white hat stuff too. I dont get it at all.
 
Yep, I have create a couple of phpbay sites in the last few days and I'm having trouble getting them indexed as well.
 
mine all get indexed within 2 days and then after that the blog posts within 20 minutes?
 
been an absolute piece of piss to get stuff indexed lately, phpbay, large templated sites, small niche sites... just from dropping links from a whole bunch of crap free directories. Some of these sites seem to be ranking fairly well also. Now that's what I call weird.
 
this is a stupid noob thing to do, but i did this once and couldnt get traffic to a blog for like 3 months. In wordpress there is a "privacy" setting that will block SE's from indexing you. I usually turn off the indexing when i install the blog, then turn it on when i launch. Sometimes I forget to put the setting back, doh!
 
I've got google bot and yahoo slurp bot indicated in my stats but for some reason it's not indexed. Now this is a shared IP with another phpbay site so maybe that is the problem. I'm doing another one and I'm going to give it a different IP and see if it gets indexed faster.

I have only done some blog comments so far but that was enough to get one of the others indexed. Maybe I need to do more on this one.

It's strange that the bot crawled it but it didn't get indexed.
