I see commercials EVERY day for "need cash, visit www.blahblah for fast paycheck advances and loans, bad credit, no credit,ok!" .

I could make my own 10 second commercial on my PC and have both Fox, NBC and Cox broadcast it on their networks for some shitty paycheck advance campaign site, or any campaign site really.

Its expensive, depending on times they air it, and what stations, etc, but has anyone done it?

Yea, I was wondering about this too. Next time I here a commercial I'm going to go check out the site and see what its all about. Sounds like a good way to drive traffic if you have the initial capital. Any idea how much it costs?

I prefer bathroom stalls, hiring taggers, and using bums next to freeway offramps.

Seriously: I'd try newspapers first. You can expand to hundreds of thousands of print papers. As you expand, then consider a more riskier television commercial.

true, true.. but you can buy slots of 10 seconds for literally 100 bucks each depending on the time of day they play it.

Ive bought TV air time before as i was a personal assistant for a producer and we shot commercials and then aired them for clients.

You can target certain towns even.. every city has its bad neighborhoods., etc. That house the kind of people that would actually sign up for a payday loan, lol.

Google is beta testing radio ads ... see if you can get in on the beta and test it out.

Holy shit. They're going to own the advertising world.

If you want to set up targeted tv spots from home and on the cheap check out Spotrunner.com - I'm sure they're next in line for a Google buyout.

if google starts doing this shit, i will puke, they are too much!! "big brother is watching"

I just checked Spotrunner.com ... looks pretty awesome. i get get 400 commercials shown in the area i want and channels i want for about 400 bucks... kinda weird.

Has anyone actually used them? I dont want to design a site and campaign and get no results, i would be pissed to lose 500 bucks.

Any ideas on what kind of thing to do? Loans? Mortgage? what would be the highest paying, easiest lead, etc.

You can even target to teens.. i wonder if a ringtone site would work? lol.. make a commercial thats shown to teens during shows that teens watch. They go to their computer and sign up from your commercial.

Make something irritating like...

Head On Apply Directly to the Forehead, Head On Apply Directly to the Forehead, Head On Apply Directly to the Forehead

HAHAHAH.. yeah, i know that commercial, it annoys the fuck out of me.

Also, an update. I called my local Cable TV provider and theyre sending me a kit. They said they can work with me on ANY budget so i am gonna make myself a commercial and see what demographics they suggest and what town and times for the specific campaign im gonna choose..

Gonna go with Mortgage and see what happens.

Gotta wait to get my earnings on the 15th tho!! DAMM

What area did you target to on SpotRunner for only $400/ 400 spots? My area is more like $2500 for 90 spots.

Cool man, hope it works out for ya. I want to See LemonAden Mortgage and Loan advertised on American Idol some day. HAH HAH

HAHAAH!! CashCall!! lol

I targeted New Bedford/Fall River MA and got those rates.. like 550 for 300 spots or so!! LOL

A short 10 second commercial would really have to be targeted and catchy to get any response.

I work with people that run infomercials and commercials all day long. Even the short 1 minute and 2 minute stuff is extremely hard to convert by companies that know what they are doing. How hard? The number is around 37 failures to every 1 success. And that's even including known products. Companies in the Top 100 fail just as much.

Not to say it can't be done, it's just a long shot. Although if you hit a good one it'll usually cover the rest. Girls Gone Wild ships out about 10,000 DVDs a day.
