Since I listened to Shoemoney's episode with Mike of XY7, I would like to know more about email marketing! A great deal of XY7 business is based on email marketing if I understood things correctly. Affiliates have their own email lists or buy them. All lists must comply with 'CANN SPAM Act' in order to make it legal. In case you buy email lists, you will pay for example a price per week to company who provides you with email records on a daily basis. That way you are able to send out 1 million+ emails per week for example, etc.

- Someone here doing email marketing as described above?
- How are conversions on average (% percentage)?
- How profitable can email marketing be regarding your opinion?
- What offers work well with email marketing in general?
- What software are you using to manage your email campaigns?
- Anyone knows 'reliable' places where I can buy email lists?

Many thanks! :)

It looks like that I posted my questions on the wrong forum hahaha... No replies so far! :D

Any one doing eMail marketing here!?

i've been wanting to get into emailing myself. By far the biggest issue is getting a good email list. Most good ones are kept for in-house mailings. The one's i've seen for sale that seems to be of good quality are pretty expensive.

as to conversions, etc., i know guys who email those 'free ipod' or 'free $500 gift card' offers do 20-50% conversions for the # of people that actually open their emails (a very low %). those are the types of offers i'd look at.

as to mailer companies, there are plenty to use. if you get a good list i could prob refer you one.

as to how profitable, i've been told of a guy making $120K per month pushing the 'free' offers i mentioned above - he's using one of the companies mentioned here on WF.

Which company or ad network mentioned here on WF this guy is using?

Thanks a lot! :)

If you live in the US you need to be careful with mailing because of CAN SPAM. They will and have gone after affiliates along with the companies behind them for spamming.

I think Andrew originally sent me over here, but Aweber is one of the best places I've found for email marketing, without being a rogue spammer. It's cheap too. I've had a suscription for a while, but haven't had a chance to use it just yet. I'll be sending out a WF newsletter within the week, so if all goes well, I'll continue to use them.

Yes I did do some email marketing with free ipod and such as mentioned in threads above I did it all legit and didn't have a very big list and made a couple hundred in 2or 3 days. If you have a big enough list yes it could be very profitable.

Was it your own list or you bought it? If you bought it, are you willing to give us a name of this place? Thanks
