I know there was a thread similar to this before, but was mostly business management type books.

Is there any good motivational books that'll help you not be so lazy?

I swear, I'm the laziest person in the world, since I've got money saved up to live on. I get up at 3 pm everyday and bullshit all day. I say to myself that I'm going to do some work, but then I usually just bullshit on the computer or do other shit that doesn't require effort.

So, any good books to help me not be lazy?

Same boat as you man. What I just started doing now is that I set up 3 daily goals. They honestly don't take more than an hour to complete, but at least I'm doing SOMETHING. I plan to move up from there. Make them small. Like finish the first paragraph on your new LP. Then a few weeks down the road, ull be going from nothing to a full campaign within a single night. But I would like to see what others have to say.

As for the guy who said just do it. Easier said than done. We're lazy mofos. :'(

Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins comes to mind.

Pot is supposed to kill your motivation.

However, Shady is one productive motherfucker so who knows.

I suggest Tim Ferris's The Four Hour Workweek. Okay, so it's not really about motivating you to not be lazy, but rather to set things up so you can be lazy. But for me at least it was a good dose of "Why are you sitting there doing nothing? You have the money and the time to make something huge, so get off your ass and do it."

I hear anything with Donald Trump in it is good. I've got Think Like a Champion in my lap right not. It's alright, nothin too special so far. I liked the 4 hour workweek. Seemed motivating enough for me.

What's motivated me the most was actually setting up an office (albeit in my own condo) and hiring an employee to work with me 8 hours a day. It's hard to smoke weed and whack off to porn when you've got another guy sitting 5 feet away from you.

I am fond of the playboy. I look at the pictures and my hands just start moving a mile a minute! If that doesn't work, I dive into some Diary of Anne Frank.

I get stuck in these "trance" like moments as well. It's a lot tougher for some folks to Just Do It than others. Many people have some type of fear within them that is preventing them from Doing, while others can just go go go.

I've been doing this full-time now for almost a year and managing to pay bills, but by no means am I killing it. I have finally come to the conclusion I think it's time to get a part-time job. I HATE jobs, so my hopeful is that will motivate the hell out of me to pick it up so I can then KISS it goodbye. I know that may sound very strange to some, but it's just something I think I need to try out.

PM me and we could chat more about this if you like.

4 Hour Work Week was good, but if you want motivation, Tony Robbins is your man (fo real).

Cucualoco, where you at in SoCal?

You don't need motivational books, it's just a subtle form of procrastination. Write actionable steps in your list, then do it. Plain and simple.

yeah, that's a good idea. i help out my father with manual work around the farm and shit, 2 or 3 hours that makes you thankful you make monies on the interwebz and you get shit done.

I just finished Eat That Frog which was mentioned a while ago here, over the months of trying to get myself motivated I've come to realize by myself a lot of the things mentioned but I wish I had read it when I started. Motivational books offer good pointers but it's up to you to have the guts to follow them.

Also want to mention, audio books are awesome - when I start one I usually want to finish hearing the rest on the same day. Where as a book I pick it up..put it down..pick it up.. put it down taking longer to get through the same material.

Get Tony/Anthony Robbins stuff. He is a perfect example of how you can have absolutely no qualifications for what you're talking about, and still sell the shit out of everyone. (I don't even think he has been to college).
