Any Awesome Book Recommendations?

Seneca, Letters from a stoic

A man's worth is no greater than his ambitions.
If you liked Seneca, read "The Emporer's Handbook" by Marcus Aurelius. ([ame="http://www.amazon.com/Emperors-Handbook-New-Translation-Meditations/dp/0743233832/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1250880960&sr=8-1"]Amazon[/ame])

If you prefer headier erudition in your stoic books, read the one that started it all... Epictetus' "The Enchiridion".

If you want a new idea, read an old book.

I've been reading a lot of old books lately. Especially the Stoics.

How to be Invisible by J.J. Luna
+1... great book.

Self-Discipline in 10 Days by Theodore Bryant. I followed it through and it seriously changed my life. (To be fair I've read it at least 3 times).

I was actually going to make a post about how good this book is for procrastinators and those who lack motivation.
I bought this book to stop procrastinating.... but it is still siting on my bookshelf... maybe I will read it tomorrow or the next day. ;)

I'm enjoying this right now and recommend it.

Lemme guess, you haven't gotten around to it yet? :-p

Nowhere near the top of the priority list to be clear :)

More book suggestions:

THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve System by G. Edward Griffin

THE GRAND CHESSBOARD: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives by Zbigniew Brzezinski (Personal mentor of Barack Obama FYI)

Other suggestions have already been mentioned in the thread.

+1. All of Malcolm Gladwell's books are super insightful. If you haven't read The Tipping Point yet I highly recommend it.

I'm not really much of a 'book reader', but I do make sure to read Dale Carnegie's: How to Win Friends and Influence People at least once a year.

Midas! There you go being naughty again reading all the books I love!

BTW, did I tell you I'm like amazing when it comes to ironing, martini making and hors d'oeuvres serving during America's Cup weekend :P

It's interesting that you mention the America's Cup, back in 1983 I was on a WESTPAC cruise while in the Marine Corps and we made port in Fremantle Australia. They of course had won that year and they were trying to gloat to us about it. I would say to them, "Yeah, it only took 130 years for someone to beat us." LOL (Actually it was 113 years by official events and 132 years since it's inception.)

P.S. You will always be AMAZING in "my" mind's eye!!
