The bill was passed 93-7? Jesus christ

I'm not surprised that Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders were among the no votes.

Al Franken voted yes here and also did to extend the patriot act. At one time it looked like there was potential that he wasn't going to be a cookie cutter politician on issues like this.

Alex Jones said this shit was coming forever ago... this is old news....

It is time to take your fucking IM skills overseas.

Anyway, I'll continue to hang out here in SE Asia. You guys have fun with getting detained because you made a blog post that "the man" didn't like, and all that good stuff. :)
One question though: doesn't SE Asia have its own human rights/corruption problems?

Keyword there being corruption. Obviously, don't draw attention to yourself, but if you do, just give the cops a donation, and they'll generally leave you alone. Only two exceptions I know of are drugs and pedophilia. There's no leniency on either. Don't do drugs, and don't fuck anyone under 18, because you're right, get on the wrong side of the wrong people, and you're in for a world of hurt with no due process.

Even more importantly though, it's just the society that it generates. Out in the West everyone is fearful, uncertain, nervous, scared of their fellow human, etc. You don't get that type of thing out here at all. Out here, I don't even have to hitchhike to have people stop, and offer me a ride. All I'm doing is walking 500m to the market, but loads of times people will stop and ask if I'm lost, or need a lift. That's a small example, but that's the type of society you have out here. Much better than the fear and isolationism of the West.

Uh yeah, about that....
