AMA Mofo

I try to break my day up into a few simple task. Yes keep it simple. Typical day may be launch a few campaigns, then optimize a few others. Other days I do websites instead of campaigns. Just to give you a measurement I have over 300 ppv active campaigns.
1. How do you manage those campaigns? What CRM if any?
2. What kind of traffic would you choose for Android fitness/diet related app and why?
3. How many of your campaigns (out of 100) end up in the bin?

Thanks!

Hmm.

When starting out and making zero $ how do you convince yourself to work hard even if seeing no results?

Sup Raze,

Affiliate marketing is not as hard as music. Learn about these guys as well as any other band in the world. https://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/70271452?trkid=438403

On the flip side affiliate marketing offers more opportunity than any other industry in the world. Think about it. You get to sale on a global scale. The world is your play ground.

1. How do you manage those campaigns? What CRM if any?
None. This is my weakness. I am stretched but the good news is only about a handful of my campaigns make up about 70% of my income. 2014 for me is the year I outsource. The system is in place, I need help to grow.

2. What kind of traffic would you choose for Android fitness/diet related app and why?
I'm not there yet bro. In the (not so distant) future Android is to Apple as Google is to Bing.

3. How many of your campaigns (out of 100) end up in the bin?
Thanks!
3 out of 5. On 1 traffic source have launched 510 campaigns. I have 164 active. Out of those only a handful with significant volume. It's manageable, but not optimal.

If I were to hire someone I would hire a creative person to be my team leader or project manager. They will have the authority to hire or freelance what it takes to complete the project.

Do you optimize pages/creatives or scrap and start over when conversions start to fall?

If you cro what's your school of thought and have you ever brought in someone to do just that?

Wickedfire seems weak as of late so I decided to do a AMA. That's right ask me any damn thing you want.

Very good question. I scrap and start over when the angle doesn't work out. But I keep my LP's and data. I paid for it. What is sweet is now I have a couple years of data on many niche's.

Technologies change but the game is still the same. I have taken dead campaigns and turned a profit only because I used bootstrap which every twitter user recognizes.

When you say optimize pages, SEO is the first thing that comes to my mind. For PPV though I have a few templates that I use and simply swap out styles. But In This Day An Age The Headline And Image Is All That Matters. IMO.

1) How your day looks like? (work day)
Right now its summer so I have my boys at home. It's tough and I'm not going lie. I have a shit ton of work to be done. What I do is get up in the morning before my boys and get a couple hours in. Around 11 I have to stop spend time with my boys. Around 3 I get to work again.

I know the badasses would just send the kids to summer camp or have a nanny. Fuck that. I love the fact that I can be deep into a LP or campaign but my 6 year old wants to go outside and I am like hell yeah lets go.

2) Are you managing it all by yourself?
Yes but by the time school starts again for my boys I will be building a team (outsourcing). Only about 30% of my load at first. Its not that I am a control freak its just there is creative thinking at certain phases. I honestly don't know how to train that portion. Its monkey work to a point.

I've heard Ngo, Darras, and Mr. Green each mention at one point or another that they've considered SEO in the past, but just concluded there isn't that much money in it compared to paid. Seeing how you've been around in a bunch of different areas, would you agree?

Do you have any experience with adult, and if so, do you have any recommendations on the best advertising platforms to work with in regards to monetization? In monetizing adult in general (if you have experience).

Also, blonde or brunette?
I know the question wasn't meant for me, but from knowing your site, firstly, I'd accept that Adult will have low CPMs, and people will want to visit it less times in a week than something like PornHub.

Secondly, I'd then expand it - make the adult part the catch that brings people in, but also have articles on guy stuff, similar to Askmen, or more directly, Playboy. You may not be able to get high CPMs or make a load on the adult stuff, but you can draw people in to the articles, which can get high CPMs.

* I logged in to say i remember you when I first came on this board and I am a fan.
In the future what direction do you plan on going? Internet stuff? Offline stuff, in dat middle.
If we ever meet I'll give you hurr if you give me a durr.

Been reading How to get Rich by Felix Dennis [ame="http://www.amazon.com/How-Get-Rich-Greatest-Entrepreneurs/dp/1591842719"]How to Get Rich: One of the World's Greatest Entrepreneurs Shares His Secrets: Felix Dennis: 9781591842712: Amazon.com: Books[/ame] based on a recommendation here. He has some great ideas about figuring out how to hire people and letting them train themselves to do what you don't know how to train them to do.

Worth a read.

And thanks for the great Q&A.

Do you still do Media Buys and how do you view the cost per conversion as compared to PPV?

I see SEO from a slightly different angle. I don't want all my income coming from SEO. SEO is risk just like investing. At least with paid you get what you pay for.
