Almost a year without it

Before I took amphetamines I thought it'd be like that pill from NZT.

NOPE.

i had to say goodbye to my sleep, food, and my sanity.

F u amphetamines.

I went to my manager and told him I have Attention Disorder or some shit like that and I need to go see a doctor, if the doctor approves, I will be on paid leave of absence due to stress and adhd, love this country.

Dear Daddy,

T-minus 60 minutes until your son Dwight Schrute takes his first 20mg Adderall pill.

Wish me luck, bros.

The way I see it,

You can never take adderall and live a healthy 80 years on this planet, dying at 80.

Or you can take adderall for 40 years straight and live 400 years on this planet, dying at 60.

Who's living more?

The difference between addies and everything else is like antibiotics vs vitamin c. Dont even try anything else thinking you'll get productive. Its like waiting for paint to dry. Im not a fan for obvious reasons.

Right now I'm on a crazy drug called willpower.

David Blaine knows willpower.

He showed how he did the block of ice one. It was normal temp inside, he swapped places with a double when they 're-iced' it, and the foggyness of the ice made you not be able to tell the difference between his look alike. He was under the floor watching tv and eating snacks.

The aftermath: I got more done in 3 days than I did the prior 2 weeks. It was as if a fog was lifted and I could focus intensely.

I also learned that one of my huge weaknesses has been my inability to use a calendar/schedule/to do list properly. Instead of being proactive, I've been reactive.

When I used to be strict with David Allen's GTD system I was money. Now that I've gotten away from structure I've let my "ADHD"/lack of discipline take over.

TL;DR: Adderall is amazing, Dwight needs structure like a 5 year old.

i want addies so bad :(

Adderall is useful if you're running out of time and a critical mission must be accomplished. Or you have serious ADD-- not im-a-lazy-fucking-prick-and-have-no-discipline-and-live-with-my-parents-still ADD.

But that's it. It's not worth screwing your body up. It's not worth the intense comedowns. Someone also thoughtfully pointed out that Adderall doesn't make you want to work on shit you don't want to work on, which is very true. I've taken it and spaced out looking at a wall for hours. Try it for fun because speed feels great, then fuck off and learn some discipline.

If you value your work and productivity over your health, then Adderral is going to rock your world.

But I think that's about as silly as relying on an employer for a paycheck.

Taking 15mg of Ritalin daily (much weaker than Adderall) has nearly zero side effects, and is barely a significant dose.

When combined with an organized work schedule, the productivity gains are absolutely amazing; allowing for free time well above the norm.
