SORRY BROS

Not only does Kane Sumabat beat Zyzz in aesthetics, he's 44 years old and not a complete fuckwit. He has been training seriously for 15 years and weighs 175lbs.

Zyzz was just a character...he was actually a chill guy who helped heaps of people, some mates trained in his local gym (also have a few PT mates who worked there with his bro).

Kane is also a fucking beast.

:)

Don't you think there's something rather suspect about all that primping, posing, dieting and rubbing fake tan into yourself in front of a mirror whilst wearing a thong?

Give me Magnús Ver Magnússon as a role model over those pretty boys any day of the week:

What's suspect about all the pussy he pulled? Who gives a fuck... Zyzz lived it up. More than most here. Dude had more haters than Rand Fishfuck. The more haters, the more success.

Until you die of a steroid & drug-induced heart attack at 22, that is. Nothing against him personally, just not someone I'd choose as a role model.

The fact he's so popular is an indication of how shallow and image-obsessed large tracts of our society has become. That's sad.

Also, the whole aesthetic movement is almost identical to Muscle Mary gay subculture. This amuses me greatly given how homophobic a lot of the bb.com members are. Seriously, neither of the two above would look remotely out of place at Love Muscle in Brixton. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fridge

Call it what you want, some people use "looking good" as motivation in the gym. Confidence has a positive ripple effect through other parts of life not related to lifting, worth it to some people. Although I agree that his known steroid/drug abuse isn't the best for someone that was a role model.

On a side note, this is the new "aesthetic as fuark". (gets real around 0:35)

Fair comment. My problem with it is that young men are falling prey to the same unrealistic physical ideals as young women are. You can't look like that without steroids, unless you have some incredible genetics. They might look like Michaelangelo's David, but they're not healthy.

In fact, I'd argue that someone who pumps themselves full of drugs to look like that is as unhealthy as a 300lb guy who just sits around drinking big gulps and eating burgers. Fitness <> Health.

Also, what's with the stick-thin legs? I'd rather lift my woman above my head and carry her back to my cave than stand around in front of her posing. Meh, maybe I'm just old-fashioned. I never understood the whole metro-sexual thing.

I agree that too many young guys get disillusioned by the body building world and end doing harm to themselves but to use powerlifting as an alternative, and more positive influence of culture is confusing to me. Powerlifters and strongmen competitors aren't exactly the healthiest group in the world. They too use steroids and many of them stuff their mouths with copious amounts of unhealthy calories. Did I mention they abuse steroids as well?

And to say that all bodybuilders put their health at risk isn't accurate. As far as steroids go, many people including body builders, power lifters, and average joes use doctor prescribed
steroids and are not risking their health at all. Its simply testosterone. You are generalizing. There is use and there is abuse. Admittedly and sadly, most younger guys abuse. So I agree, it is a problem, but power lifting is no better.

Truth is, you don't need to "pump yourself full of drugs" to look like Zyzz. You could very safely achieve that look if you have the genetics to do so. Zyzz went too far with the uppers from what I understand. No different than half the peeps reading this forum on addys.
