Whoever uses adBrite, I also have them on a few of my sites... Anyway, just got an email:

Dear adBrite Publisher,

Over the last few weeks, adBrite and its management have been evaluating the go-forward plan for the business. Given market conditions and certain financial liabilities, in working with our lenders, we have decided to cease operations on Feb 1, 2013.

This is a difficult decision for all of us at adBrite. However, after much deliberation this seems to be the best course of action despite the impact it will have on all the employees, clients and partners who helped build this business. There will be a team in place as needed to assist with winding down.
Thank you for being part of the adBrite community.

This sounds insane, but it's a true story.

I applied to McDonalds when I was 17. I was told I was over qualified, because I had been a SysAdmin for a shitty little ISP. I wasn't to happy.

EDIT:

If something happens to this online shit I think I'll put "In prison for the last 8 years" and re-apply.
 
OMG, they still owe me $4.57, hopefully I won't lose that money.

If I lose however I will bombard WF with 1000 threads about adBrite not paying.

After that, once I successfully recover my $4.57 I will spend it ALL on Microworkers to come here and write nasty stuff about already non-existing company.

Are you reading this adBrite? Hope you've got the message.

cleverest post i've seen in a while on WF

for all the young 'uns, pud ran fuckedcompany back in bubble 1.0 and he owns adbrite as well.

Kaplan: 9781416577935: Amazon.com: Books[/ame]) over christmas, it's crazy how a few of the business ideas he ridiculed are now legit websites. just before their time i suppose.

Does he still own adbrite? I know he stepped down as CEO back in 08, did he sell it then too?
