This may be true depending on how you look at it. I tried to get some nutra products listed on their network but they wouldn't put it on unless I did trials and I'll never do trials as its to much risk and headache involved plus its robbing the customers but they don't tell you that, they make it seem as if its a viable business platform when at the end of the day all they are concern about is cash and not the well being of those to whom they do business with which is not a bad thing but only a fool would do trials to appease a network espically when at the end of the day, the advertiser would loose great deals of monies before they profit and with 6 mids rotating @ equal distribution, naw I still wouldn't do it.
Its a bad feeling when people are calling up your support line screaming at you, telling you "Stop taking my money". I just don't have the heart to do that to people anymore, but hey for the new kids on the block, make hay while the sun is shinning.

^^^ Don't blame the network for this. Aff's aren't as fired up to push straight sale because unless their copywriting and funnel kicks ass, they won't convert nearly as well. And then add on to that, your straight sale commissions are probably half of what trial guys are willing to pay the network. Add the two together and the network is going to get very little traffic out of your offer while creating more back end work for them.
Time is a limited resource for everyone, not just you. I've found that your best bet for straight sale affs is recruit good SEOs because they can get a lot of traffic without ongoing costs. Plus good SEO guys often suck at marketing and are just happy to push you their traffic and get back to assfucking google.
The PPC guys who are literally paying for every potential lead are going to send it to a trial that converts at 8% over your SS that converts at 3%. It's just the nature of the beast.
