I've decided to do one of these journal things because I've been working my a$$ off lately and I'm not seeing a ton of results. Obviously the problem is...My expectations. My goal with this journal is to provide some hopefully valuable ideas or information and in return hopefully people will stop me from doing stupid things and spending too much money.

Alright here it goes.

I have about 72 domain names. roughly 10 that I'm working on right now. I am extremely ADD so I can't just do one site. I started that way and when the results weren't instant I made 9 more.

I got started because I was doing a little craiglist marketing as an affiliate for a poker site and I soon figured out if I could bypass them and make my own poker site I would make more money. So far it's not true yet. I am however in this for the long haul.

I'm a comedian and a salesman. Mainly a salesman slowly making the move to full time comedy but it takes time and MARKETING. Anyways I'm 21 so I've got a ton of time to do things I just don't see the point in working a long time for a little pay. Instead I'd like to work for a while really hard get things going and collect a residual income, but that's what gets all of us interested isn't it? I take that back I'm 22 just turned to May 1st and bam it's my birthday.

So right I have 10 websites that I'm working on. Mostly stuff between 1500-3600 exact searches per month and under 50,000 results. I started doing most of these sites about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I learned a wp site the hardway, I paid someone a $hit ton of money to make it for me before I started doing the work myself.

I have outsourced the articles at about $3 a piece and they are great articles. I'm a creative writer, factual information is a pain to come up with for me.

I've been using the links program from Angelas Discount Market it's a $5 a month program for 30 links pr6 or higher. It tells you where they are you have to go make the link though. I have put about 25 links on one of my sites this week. I'm gonna start on another and get a little more content coming.

One trick I learned though (I think it's a trick) is to download an add on for firefox called seo quake. Tells you PR. I use it when I google forums and blogs on the category I'm looking to work with and then post comments on high pr blogs or urls in high pr forums. Saves time from posting on pr0 sites when you could be getting a high quality link just as simple.

More to come tomorrow maybe?

Get scrapebox, dont use the spam commenting and just run your links through the PR checker.
It'll save you a ton of time and help target high PR blogs for whatever niche your backlinking.

As of right now I haven't so much monetized the sites. I'm basically working on building traffic before I worry about getting paid. I intend (and have somewhat started) to use adsense, amazon, clickbank and possibly ebay. Depends on which site. I have started a little with adsense and intend to use whatever will help me best make sales on each site. I would like to move more towards click bank sales because it's much simpler. (it seems) Also once click bank is setup on a site I intend to try out some ppc stuff. I am writing an e-book in my spare time (hahaha cuz I have soo much) One thing I just started is I made a forum for poker stuff that I intend to put some more time into setting up some members in a week or two because I figure ad sales alone would make that work while.

A secret approach I'll soon be putting into place. I have a site filled with valuable poker info, I started a forum to gain members and put more valuable info, last but not least I'm having a how to win and make money all that stuff at poker e-book written that I intend to market with those other two products. Poker ppc is expensive though which is what gave me the idea of a forum if only I knew then how difficult they are to get off the ground :-/

So I have roughly 3 or 4 sites that I've been focusing on. I'm going to change that. My goal this week is to have 5 quality articles on one site and submit links for it to 10 sites. Then setup all the accounts I need for socialmarker.com

SEO is really a bit of a pain.

Waiting on articles I outsourced right now. What kind of luck have you guys had with article spinners? I'm debating getting one. But does it make a big difference if you submit your exact same article to ezine as what's on your page?

Also heard I should try and have backlinks coming in for all my pages on the site, not just on the main page. So I'm going to try that.

The only money I'm making is coming from a link building site I run.

I use The Best Spinner. It's a very nice spinner that leverages every user's spinning to speed up the process.
Ezine articles is pretty strict, so duplicate content wouldn't be accepted.

This just makes things look more natural since other sites linking to yours would likely be linking to specific pages of note or that are relevant to their topic. You can also use silo link structure internally to strengthen your home page.

That makes sense. Is the spinner actually called the best spinner?

That's sort of what I was thinking as far as backlinks go. Today I'm going to put some articles into ezine articles and see how that works for me.

One thing I am noticing about SEO is that it's not a quick way to make money. Someone said "this is some of the simplest work you can do but that doesn't mean it's the easiest"

They were right.
