A diet thread for grown-ups

Apes like chimpansees are omnivores as well. Part of the reason man succeeded is probably because we could eat anything. What we know for sure is that it took a long time for man to become farmers, so if anything the Paleo people may be right in our bodies not being made for grain products.

Y ppl talk about whole wheat bread? Only mass media sheep still think its good for you.

How much fking bread do people have in their daily diets. I use it for the occasional lunch sandwich, that's about it.

In the spirit of this thread, does anyone want to recommend me a good fish oil supplement?

Used Carlson Labs Very Finest Liquid Fish Oil before switching up to different sources for Omegas. Think it was their lemon flavor. Very strong taste but palatable. Went great with fruit smoothies.

Well whole wheat bread is significantly better for you than white bread.

That doesn't mean that either of them are great for you though... they are both mostly empty carbs.

I've been drinking Vitamineral Green & Vitamineral Earth daily. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to be healthier. Just read the reviews for it on Amazon they're great.

Hey fucker you copied what I wrote on the 1st page of this thread. Is this a bot?

A few of Dwight Schrute's tips for a healthy diet
- Lots of veggies - especially beets (preferably raw)
- Fish and chicken (grilled, not fried of course)
- Tons of water
- Avoid high glycemic index foods (like fruit)
- Raw nuts (sparingly)
- Some beef (preferably organic, grass-fed, not the hormone-filled corn-fed beef everyone eats)
- A cheat day every once in a while to eat some junk so you don't go crazy (you will feel like shit and be reminded why it was that you stopped eating junk food to begin with)

I eat fruit like its my job dude. Most fruit is actually not high GI.

Today I've had: 6 lbs of bananas (~10 - 12), 3 lbs oranges (~5), 1 lb of grapes, 4 large leaves of rainbow chard, 2 eggs, 1 can salmon, a handful of almonds, and a couple brazil nuts.

I totally agree with you except I think everyone should be eating massive amounts of fruit. And mono-meal it (ie eat one type of fruit at a time)!

+1 on not eating wheat products. It's no better than sugar.
