16. You didn't insert your aff code properly (ha ha!)
Last year one of my merchants sent out an email to everyone saying they were getting quite a few sales from one of us but there was no id on the referrel code. I've never felt so fucking embarrassed in my life (plus having done this for more than a year now I'm still pretty shocked that the merchant was nice enough to mention this too).

Hi,

Thats our list from affearners, the original credit link back to us got modded. I would appreciate the credit back please

Whats wrong with #90?
Many spiders cannot follow the iframe. Google indexes it fine, but if you use it, you lose many visitors from 2nd tier engines.

36. You don't use your affiliate stats to improve your conversion
37. You don’t use your site stats to improve your traffic quality
I have to say, I disagree with those. Tweaking is fine, but many people spend too much time improving their conversions by 0.1% instead of working on bringing in more traffic.

Nice motivational post though.

Yes i kinda agree with that point of view - if you are happy you can get 2% better do it, if its 0.1% fish it do something new

A few things i disagree with here

22. Your merchant is offline.

Affiliate marketing doesn't require you to use an online affiliate network that has preset terms, you are simply just outsourced marketing paid on a performance basis.

I know a guy who made 1/2 a mil in one year affiliate marketing for an offline merchant. He set up his own 1-800 number and generated real estate leads for an offline company. There was more work involved in setting it up, but he wasn't losing any of his potential comission to a network middleman. I believe he ended up selling his "marketing secrets and strategy" to the company for a lump sum since it had reached its viral growth potential and was really just organically growing.

40. You waste money on buying shit unrelated traffic

Tell that to the ringtone guys who made TONS on unrelated traffic. It is worth trying out any potentially profitable traffic source you can come across. If traffic proves it doesnt convert don't waste more money, but don't write off traffic that may be slightly unrelated. Think demographics for cheap traffic not individual buyer needs like you would for expensive ppc campaigns.

This is an interesting post.

I made £5,000,000 plus last year did you?

Something else. I spent about £2000 on PPC.

So you can pretty much count me out.

Yawn.

Affi.

I would not be in the least surprised if it turned out you work for G.

Listen up Kofi, I would not be in the least surprised if it turned out you have half a brain.

Is my name "G" you Numpty? (think about it!!)

Anyway, I made a couple of posts.

[1]FUCKING saying "hello/Hi girls" that kind of crap (plus a home truth or two)

[2]I made the most valuable post in the history of ANY forum about SEO in about 11 steps.

And guess what - the fuckin mods must have been out on this piss with a bunch of Estonian 19 year old chicks because they STILL havent approved that post.

Fuck me, do I need to actually pay to get heard on here?

I help numpties (idoits) make money, it's my hobby.

Forums are supposed to do the same.

Should I open a private forum within this thread? The only place I can fucking post right now...

Post the fucking post. With sugar on top.

AFF.

Don't get your manties in a twist Affi. Just saying, I have read your posts at the 'other' affiliate site plus someone sent me your other stuff, and I find your advice a little too spot on for comfort. Hence I am suspicious of your motives. (G means Google. Numpty.) Anyway, I'll be interested to see what your next move is.
