The traffic form 7search comes from all over the place. So if your landing page has a US only affiliate offer on it, does it make sense to geotarget the visitor so you can show adsense if the visitor is non-us?

How could you do that?

Thanks,

Jon

On my sites that use PHP on the backend, I used the binary format of MaxMind's geoip database with their PHP API. ghoti, the example on your blog uses a different database and you actually created the database schema and loaded the data into it. How is that easier than adding two files to your domain's root directory and making a simple call to the MaxMind PHP API?

I'm getting ready to launch a large arbitrage network that is being done in Ruby, and for that I just imported the MaxMind geoip database and I query the database myself.

If you're looking for a quick fix and you run PHP, just get the binary format of MaxMind's database with its PHP API and you'll be up and running in a couple minutes.

DavidR, I must confess that I am confused by how I am meant to implement the PHP API version of Maxmind. Anyone got a clearer explanation on how to install it?

John12345 - wtf? why waste the effort with 7search and affiliate marketing? use your account for arbitrage. anything else and you are going to loose money.

Well, I find Adcenter so slow to load up keywords with. Drives me nuts. Adwords is fucked due to landing page quality score. So trying 7Search for low cost affiliate strategy.

Yahoo is a bunch of shit. They can go fuck themselves.

Jon12345 - wow, just wondering when you are going to make a post that you can't make money at aff anymore with ppc. lol - so what if there are things that are not good about the big 3, deal with it but that is were you are going to make money. By the way the new Yahoo is very good. I have been using it since Friday. What a difference. 7search is not going to give you good traffic for what you want to do. The thing with 7search is you do get real eyeballs but the quality is not good. that is why they are good for arbi but not aff. I spent a few hundred dollars testing aff and had success with 1 offer and that unlike the big 3 died a quick death!

I wanted to do that, but every time I imported the database it would break midway at line 1,734 or something like that
