4k to get started in IM. What's the First Step?

I suggest doing a lot of reading. If you want to get into PPC the only way to really learn is to take action with some campaigns. Be prepared to lose some money at first though.

Baby steps

So I have 4k to start, I have been reading and getting a lot of good information. It's been information overload in fact because I feel like I can take off in so many different directions. I have a skill that I could put into an E-book. I came across a landing page that promotes something similar to what I want to do but I feel I could do a much better job as far as putting out a product that would make the consumer more knowledgeable about my skill. Blogging just doesn't appeal to me, so is there a way to do IM but to avoid blogging or is it part and parcel of IM? Please advise, I want to leave my day job and I want to leave it badly but I don't want to make any rash decisions.

Research your competition, then take it one step further
Blogging is a good start, You could outsource it out.
PPC is costly, and you don't want to blindly jump in that.
