So I have 4k to start, I have been reading and getting a lot of good information. It's been information overload in fact because I feel like I can take off in so many different directions. I have a skill that I could put into an E-book. I came across a landing page that promotes something similar to what I want to do but I feel I could do a much better job as far as putting out a product that would make the consumer more knowledgeable about my skill. Blogging just doesn't appeal to me, so is there a way to do IM but to avoid blogging or is it part and parcel of IM? Please advise, I want to leave my day job and I want to leave it badly but I don't want to make any rash decisions.

Staccs I have been reading about PPC. I know it can get pretty pricey but then I learned on Google Adwords that you can set your daily budget up to a certain dollar amount. Are you suggesting PPC with the E-book or with something like a Clickbank product?

I have never done PPC, so I can't answer your questions. What you push doesn't really matter as long as you're meeting a desirable profit margin.

This is typically recommended beginner PPC reading. Finch is a great writer as well. There might be some intro to PPC stuff there.

Yeah, I literally just posted this same topic and got completely crapped on.

Thats what makes this place so funny :)

OP, I will guide you. I am currently seeking an investor for a adsense project of mine. You want to discuss it send me your skype.

If it is PPC you are interested you might want to check out PPCblog.com. It has quite the information you may be looking for.

Good for you for wanting to leave your day job and not wanting to make any rash decisions. As soon as you're making enough money part-time as you are full-time, you'll know it's time to quit.

If you don't like blogging, an avenue to pursue would be buying traffic. As you know there's a ton of ways you can buy it.

I don't know if you want to put in all the effort to starting an ebook from scratch... Unless you find a solid writer, you're going to run into a lot of issues. Good writers are hard to come by.

Why not take a portion of your money and buy some traffic to promote someone else's offer to get your feet wet first? Once you've made enough mistakes with someone else's stuff, then you can start perfecting it for when you have your own product (if that's what you want to do).

Don't blow all the $4,000... and keep adding to it. A good cash reserve will give you peace of mind when you finally kick your boss to the curb.

Take your time to think what you want to do, search different methods and use the advices of the people in this forum, and develop your own strategy for the start

I hear you on the cash reserve, Dwight. That seems to be the main component missing from most starters...

It's sink or swim daddy'o...

There isn't shit wrong with sinking, just don't fu*king drown yourself :)

I'm still Money Green (NEW) to IM, I started just February last year.
I started with kibbles and bits like yourself: 6k in reserves WILLING to lose.

1. Picked a niche
I picked one of the most competitive niches that had advertisers but not a lot of IM'ers

2. I got a dedicated server, built my own website, created my own product from scratch and built my own membership site

3. I got a shopping cart with premium web cart, gateway from authorize.net and merchant account from powerpay and I monetized my site around 25 informational videos that were inside my members area

4. I said f**k PPC and I did brute force (white, black, blue, yellow) SEO and ranked all 11 of my domains and targeted keywords page 1 (top 1-5 positions) in google

5. My site now does 4-5 figures per monthly on new member signups and recurring revenue

6. Rinse and Repeat

Most people that I surveyed start by doing affiliate type shit, which I hear is cool. I'm a different type of bitch. I like to own my shit and control if fully. The route I took however, is just one way. Most people I hear don't start off and create a product from jump street, etc.

Decide on your level of tolerance and risk you want to take on ...and pull the trigger.

If a female from Cali with no prior IM experience can jump in and have ooddles and noodles of success, that means we can all have success and make $$$ at this game.

There's too much to take in when it comes to Internet Marketing.

With 4K you can pay everyone to do things for you and make quick progress but you won't really understand what's going on. Depending on your level of success, that may or may not be important.

Methinks you should learn some SEO and slowly move into PPC. If you are reckless, you'll lose all your money. Although I heard from somewhere that it takes roughly $500 to fine tune a PPC campaign so maybe you could pay someone to do write your copy and design your landing page e.t.c. Then throw $500 of traffic to fine tune & split test everything.

To be honest with you, I'm out of my element with PPC. I prefer swimming in familiar ponds.
