did this, think its pretty cool (although expensive) and didnt show up as too high of a risk for anything super serious/i didnt know about

dont tell your insurance company about this tho for sure and also in true google fashion they are selling this product at a loss to get a large database of genetic information ;)

Yup, they will finally be able to get rid of blacks, chinks and jews. Great idea. Not.
Firstly, judaism is a religion, not a race. You can't breed it out of people.

Secondly, you're thinking of the sort of eugenics that the Nazi's wanted to get going. Real eugenics is simply about improving human stock by any of a number of methods, and very few of them have to do with breeding or genocide.
With today's technology, cyborg enhancement (which sounds sci-fi, but isn't) is probably the most promising field. The advances in camera to occipital cortex connections have been amazing. Genetic tampering to remove predisposition to disease, and enhance positive traits is also already here, although illegal in every westernised country thanks to all the Playing God / Frankenstein Complex issues tied up with messing about with human genes.

Are you going to sit there and honestly tell me that modifying an impregnated embryo to remove a predisposition to obesity, diabetes, baldness and myopia, whilst simultaneously tweaking creativity, muscle development and host of other good things makes me a Nazi?

Most people will, yes.

I personally think it's a great idea, but people are too scared/self-centered to allow science to improve our race (in that manner anyway).

Plus the drug companies would throw a fit if the entire next generation was effectively immune to cancer, heart disease, etc.

You tell Jews they aren't a race Harvey. That whole holocaust was an attempt to wipe out religion, not a people.

Yes. What the British did to the North American Indians by giving them smallpox blankets. White people have been trying to mass exterminate brown, yellow and black people for a long time. Don't be fucking obtuse.

No. The Nazi's learned Eugenics from the British. When you go into a database, good luck getting your data back out. If you have a congenital condition, good luck getting insurance. Good luck getting a fair chance at a donor. Good luck getting the same opportunities for jobs.

I can't ever decide what I find more bewildering (and equally amusing):

The seemingly infinite methods WickedFire members creatively employ to send threads spiraling light years away from their originally-intended focus...

-or-

Their unparalleled tenacity and the apparently ever-increasing speeds that it this inevitable phenomenon is successfully implemented.

However, I do know that it seldom fails to simultaneously amuse and enlighten.

1) Was raised Orthodox Jewish. I tell other Jews that all the time. Also point out that as I no longer practice, I don't consider myself Jewish, although I'm happy to hang out with other yids because kosher meat is generally better tasting.

2) Yes, everyone's been killing everyone for a long time. Genocide != Eugenics. The only people that make that argument are the people that use Reductio ad Nazism to win internet arguments... Oh, wait!

3) Precisely what the fuck does genetic manipulation of people to remove negative attributes from people have to do with them being denied insurance?
You'd be removing the reasons they'd be denied said insurance.
And furthermore, any future that's likely to have this level of genetic manipulation technology is likely to have that shit put on a database from the moment you're born, regardless. As it is, every single one of us on this forum are in hundreds of databases. I assume you were all born legally in your country of origin? Most fucking likely, your blood type, size and weight are already on record along with your name and parents.
