2015 NFL Free Agency

FUCK ME. I grabbed YPG stats from NFL.com but didn't realize it was just PLAYOFF TEAMS... Motherfucker...

Top 5 defenses based on YPG:

Seahawks
Lions
Broncos
Bills
49ers

So I guess the point still stands. If you look at best Defensive linemen in the league, the first nose tackle to show up based on tackles is Bennie Logan from Philly. You can look at any different combinations of stats, either way, the DT position doesn't require a premier player for a defense to be successful.

Now I'm going to go learn how the internet works...

Jets are looking at you, pal.

QB: Most people don't get that after 4+ seasons with NFL's worst production at QB the addition of Fitzpatrick is a huge upgrade. He's smart and Jets surround him with an average team at OL, WR (free agent pickup Brandon Marshall, Decker, Kerley), RB (Ivory). Realistically gunning for mid-tier production turns the Jets into a very different team.

Besides an ace kicker Rex's only worthwhile legacy is an elite defensive front.

Last year the Jets probably had the worst defensive backfield in football -then free agency 2015 happened, DB pickups: Revis (CB), Cromartie (CB), Skrine (CB), and Gilchrist (S).

Worst to first, baby.

Suh can suck it and Rex can go wrecks the Bills.

And no matter what, with Revis the Jets just bought away the Patriots chances at a repeat.

Who's your QB again?

Who's your QB again?
Better question: who have our QBs been?

As per Espn.com - QB passing ratings, 2014:
Hou - Fitzpatrick, 9th
NYJ - G. Smith, 29th

2013:
Ten - Fitzpatrick, 23rd
NYJ - G. Smith, 37th

2012:
Buf - Fitzpatrick, 17th
NYJ - Sanchez, 31st

Not signing Fitzgerald and committing to Geno, who has no business even being in the league, had to happen.

Jets finally look good this year, but I don't know about playoffs or Superbowl, it's all about the great coaches and how they mold the players, and for now, they all talk.

The goal is to leave the black hole Rex led them into. A post season is too much to consider right now, 2014 was that bad.

Bills are fucking insane to snap up Rex like some kind of prize. He has many faults and many talents, so he should be either an all-world DC (ego won't let him) or in the booth - but not on the sidelines as a HC.

Rams made out like bandits on the Foles trade.

Lots of 1st round OLB in mock drafts, not so much OL pegged so high as last year. Winston is a fucking joke - a clear head case as a legit #1? No thanks.

The thing about Fitzpatrick, you are gonna like the hell out of him, maybe even 3 or 4 games in a row. But he has a hard time in the red zone, and he's not afraid to take chances on big plays. That could be good or bad, because he will throw interceptions in critical situations. He can sneak like a mofo though, he gets down low and runs under their legs almost.

Tommy Smith retires from Titans

Tommy Smith announced Friday that he is retiring as the CEO and team president of the Tennessee Titans.

"It's a personal decision for me," Smith told The Tennessean. "I will be 64 in a few weeks, and I want to spend my energy where it's needed most."

Smith will be focusing on his job as president and chairman of Adams Resources & Energy, a multibillion-dollar company based in Houston.

"While I dearly love the Titans and am proud of my active role with the franchise over many decades, I can't serve two big roles as effectively as I had hoped," Smith said in a statement. "My family, my long-term personal health and the ability to make sound daily decisions for two fine companies all came into play."

Smith, Bud Adams' son-in-law, took over shortly after the former team owner passed away in October 2013.

Longtime executive Steve Underwood, who retired in 2011, will rejoin the Titans on an interim basis and oversee the search for a new president.

In February, Smith sent out a letter to season-ticket holders vowing to turn the Titans, who finished 2-14 last season, into a winner.

Well folks, things are looking up. Over the last 5 or 10 years, the problems with the team had to do with the ownership. They were really good at bringing in and developing talent, but as soon as it was time for those guys to get paid, they get let go.

I doubt they will sell the team, but hoping they will find someone from outside the organization who will give more than 0 fucks.

You're praying you can get close to a RG3 type assets haul from Philly for the right to draft Mariota imo. Quickest way to turn around is drafting well...and if you can't draft well, draft a lot.

Any thoughts on what's gonna happen to AP?

I think he's going to be forced to stay w/ the Vikings.

He better hope he doesn't get what he wants. He's a 30 year old running back who just missed almost an entire year of game action. He's already started to lose a step and it's only downhill from here. If he hit the open market there is no way he would get a contract from another team making what he is now.

Meanwhile, the Vikings would probably be smart to cut him (unless they can find some retard GM to offer something up). He's on the books for 3 more years at $47 million and there is no way they'll get that kind of production from him. Plus, I can't see Minnesota making a run in the next few years so why hang on to him when they can fill a lot more holes for that kind of money.

Cut that dummy and make some cap space.

The Bucs are on the clock!

LOL the people in the crowd were booing the shit out of Goodell
