By what metric? Cuz ummm....
Jets are looking at you, pal.PHINS UP
Jets are looking at you, pal.
QB: Most people don't get that after 4+ seasons with NFL's worst production at QB the addition of Fitzpatrick is a huge upgrade. He's smart and Jets surround him with an average team at OL, WR (free agent pickup Brandon Marshall, Decker, Kerley), RB (Ivory). Realistically gunning for mid-tier production turns the Jets into a very different team.
Besides an ace kicker Rex's only worthwhile legacy is an elite defensive front.
Last year the Jets probably had the worst defensive backfield in football -then free agency 2015 happened, DB pickups: Revis (CB), Cromartie (CB), Skrine (CB), and Gilchrist (S).
Worst to first, baby.
Suh can suck it and Rex can go wrecks the Bills.
And no matter what, with Revis the Jets just bought away the Patriots chances at a repeat.
Better question: who have our QBs been?Who's your QB again?
The goal is to leave the black hole Rex led them into. A post season is too much to consider right now, 2014 was that bad.Jets finally look good this year, but I don't know about playoffs or Superbowl
Tommy Smith retires from Titans
Tommy Smith announced Friday that he is retiring as the CEO and team president of the Tennessee Titans.
"It's a personal decision for me," Smith told The Tennessean. "I will be 64 in a few weeks, and I want to spend my energy where it's needed most."
Smith will be focusing on his job as president and chairman of Adams Resources & Energy, a multibillion-dollar company based in Houston.
"While I dearly love the Titans and am proud of my active role with the franchise over many decades, I can't serve two big roles as effectively as I had hoped," Smith said in a statement. "My family, my long-term personal health and the ability to make sound daily decisions for two fine companies all came into play."
Smith, Bud Adams' son-in-law, took over shortly after the former team owner passed away in October 2013.
Longtime executive Steve Underwood, who retired in 2011, will rejoin the Titans on an interim basis and oversee the search for a new president.
In February, Smith sent out a letter to season-ticket holders vowing to turn the Titans, who finished 2-14 last season, into a winner.
Well folks, things are looking up. Over the last 5 or 10 years, the problems with the team had to do with the ownership. They were really good at bringing in and developing talent, but as soon as it was time for those guys to get paid, they get let go.
I doubt they will sell the team, but hoping they will find someone from outside the organization who will give more than 0 fucks.
Any thoughts on what's gonna happen to AP?
I think he's going to be forced to stay w/ the Vikings.
