many entrepreneurial openings [likely, the ISP will specifically forbid commercial use of a residential connection though..]
cons;
malware thrives on these connections. ge netranges being inherently small, expect worldwide port/scan/intrusion attempts nearly once per 30 seconds.
people clogging it up with huge [warez] traffic, dragging bad press and everything involved along.
but to people with productive purposes, it's very very useful.
