1and1.co.uk experiences?

I have also, heard only bad things from 1and1. and yet they are still this huge co. Soon, the bad rep will catch up with them.

I use 1and1, looking to move to dedicated hosting somewhere else. Wordpress is ungodly slow with them, and there is no Cpanel. Can anyone recommend a good dedicated hosting provider under $100/mo? Also, how to move MySQL databases and not have to rebuild 15+ databases and tools? Thanks
