This has been in the works for a while now and after a lot of work I'm finally ready to release these new plans for the first time anywhere. Yes, the offer is really for a $10 VPS or $9/year shared hosting. No, there are no gimmicks or catches.

Let's start with the $10 VPS... The deal is for a 384MB VPS and the prices/specs go up from there. I have created an optimized Linux template for people to use on these VPS plans. In fact, I've created a site dedicated to walking people through running a VPS: #zenssh [The Art of SSH - A beginner's guide to Linux] - The site walks you through everything from setting up new domains on your VPS to using SSH. Even if you're a newbie, you can do this.

The VPS plans are unmanaged and do not come with a control panel or backups. If you want a control panel you are free to purchase a license and install it (contact me for license prices). However, the entire point of this deal is to let people get the most out of their VPS, without wasting resources on a control panel.

If you're ready to sign-up for the best VPS deal you'll find anywhere, visit zensix.com and place your order.

REVIEW ALL PLANS: ZENSIX.COM

* Please allow 24 hours for the email containing your new VPS details. I'm going to do a batch setup of new accounts once a day.

And now for the shared hosting plans. These are first come, first served, and they will not be available forever. I normally only offer shared hosting for a few months out of the year, so if you want one, get one. There are two available, a $9/year plan and a $15/year plan. Details are below:

Control Panel: DirectAdmin

ZEN-9
1GB of Space
25GB of Bandwidth
Host 1 Domain

ZEN-15
2GB of Space
50GB of Bandwidth
Host 5 Domains

If you have any questions please post them in this thread. Do not PM me for basic questions.

Highly recommended! Always had great service with these guys. No question was to stupid :)

Thanks guys...

UPDATE: Offsite Backups Available (FREE)

In my first post (and on zensix.com) it currently says that we do not offer backups. That information is now outdated. By tomorrow we will have a new backup server online that will be available to all VPS clients. It will allow you to log into the VPS control panel, hit a button, and automatically have your entire VPS backed up to an offsite location. From the same panel you will be able to restore your VPS if needed.

No extra cost.

NOTE: Since launching these plans last night I have had an insane number of fraud attempts during sign-up. I use MaxMind to review each order and just bumped it up to be more picky.

If you are ordering and your billing address is hundreds of miles away from your IP, or you use an open proxy or VPN, chances are you will be flagged for fraud. Don't take it personally, just send in a ticket to the sales department or PM me on here and I'll manually update your order so you can pay.

At $9/year I don't have any other choice.

Do you have anywhere to check your server uptimes?

possible to buy more add-on domains?

migration from cpanel available?

never had a vps.

What could I do with the basic VPS?

could i push it to the fullest. what about ppv traffic.

i may order one tomorrow

Learn Linux, not fight other users for resources, install anything you want... there's a million things you can do. You could definitely use it for ppv traffic, but I wouldn't consider a small vps great for that. I'd recommend a dedicated server if you're pushing a lot of traffic and money is on the line.

Hey subigo,

I am myself looking for a vps mainly for PPV traffic. Not pushing a lot of traffic though so you're servers might be more then enough to get me started. Would use it mainly for tracking (cpvlab). Is there a chance that a linux newbie like me get this up and running? From what I have seen I can only manage the server via SSH, right? No graphical UI to make the life of a newbie easier, huh?

ZenSix is the bomb. Been using them for a while. You'd think that being a smaller provider that their tech support would suck, but they are outstanding!

This has been a non-sponsored endorsement.

There's already been a few people from WF who have got Wordpress installed and they've never touched the command line before. They just followed this article very closely: ZenSix CentOS Template: No control panel needed. From Zero to Wordpress in under 30 minutes.

went the vps route earlier and left to go about my day thinking, it'll be a day before it's ready.

checked my email few hours later and it was ready within an hour of buying. now i don't even have time to play around with it. i peeped inside and it looks fun.

im leaving itrader.

I can't guarantee everyone will be setup that quick, but most people are (unless you order at 3am in the morning).

A note to everyone... Like I said, these are unmanaged VPS plans, so you are on your own. However, in addition to zenssh.com, Dark Cognitive started a thread here and I'll do some unofficial support in there:

I guess I'm not clear enough about two things...

SHARED HOSTING: Does NOT come with a free domain. Not sure why people think it does.

VPS HOSTING: Does NOT come with a free control panel or management.

Zensix has quality hosting, buy now.

I just signed-up for one of their $15/year shared servers...need it for a tiny little project o' mine ;)

Bought their largest VPS plan ($18/month), and everything has been awesome so far. Love the simplicity. Tutorials are great as well.
