Since religion is a trending topic on WF, let's keep it up...

In the news this morning:

[...]The church is still reeling from the publication Friday of a special commission's report on sexual abuse in the church, which disclosed 475 previously-undocumented cases in Belgium. The details were shocking. Thirteen victims had committed suicide[...]

Belgian Church Admits Widespread Abuse - WSJ.com

Abusive priests should turn themselves in, Belgian Church says - CNN.com

Just goes to show that all religions have brought their share of shit to this world... apart from Buddhism maybe ;)

Buddhism is not a religion, but ideologies are all prone to abuse. Humans are greedy animals.

It seems that about 99% of these stories involve the Catholic Church, where priests are not allowed to get married.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles alone paid $660 million to settle sex abuse lawsuits a few years back.

Sex abuse accusations like that seem to be much more rare in Protestant denominations that allow priests to marry.

Priests also aren't supposed to be fondling little kids. Does that stop them? I suppose it's a lot less open than getting hitched, but seriously, Priests, young boys? I would be a lot less emphatic if it were an affair with a grown woman/man, then it would be barring from the priesthood and would be an internal thing instead of international controversy...

good thing they weren't imams claiming to be acting in the image of the prophet with aysha cause no one would've said a word for fear of being blown to bits.

What a suprise, religious people doing evil things. Molesting children, flying planes into building...damn sure we have these fairy tales in this world. Religion is a wonderful thing. YEA GOD! HURRAY JEEEEBUS!

apart from Buddhism maybe ;)

they fuck them little monks too in the ass at least in Tibet.

so does Islam, have plenty of shit like this but they keep it under the rug....

face it, people who devote their life to religion are fucking lunatics. no surprise they pull shit like this....have them executed by squad fire or hanging is the only just solution.

Religion is all about control over your body,
if you believe in a soul/spirit then your body is a "tool" and "you" are the spirit.

the body can do good or bad but it cant do anything without your spirit allowing it too,

Satan and his followers do not have bodys , they are just spirits that got screwed and now want to see human kind get screwed too by causing pain and suffering.

They persuade our bodys to do bad to each other and to itself thru addictions and crimes. and once they
can get your soul to become a slave to your body then he has you in his chains.

that is why religion teaches you to control your body from drug addictions, sexual addictions, food, money etc....

if you are a slave to your body then u are a slave to satan.

Religion is becoming the division of all people which i dont like. When this earth was formed there was no such things and people where living happily. Troubles arised after creating different religions.

Belgians are known for this. It's Europes little pedo country.

Which country are you from? I can bet you I'll find similar cases in your country as well... this stuff happens all over the world. Like someone already said, most countries prefer to keep it under the rug.

Buddhism is not a religion

Buddhism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Buddhism is a religion and philosophy encompassing a variety of traditions, beliefs and practices, largely based on teachings attributed to Siddhartha Gautama, commonly known as the Buddha (Pāli/Sanskrit "the awakened one").

Not that I'm a wikipedia fangirl but one can't just go around saying "buddism is not a religion" It's definitely debatable as it has many things that set it apart from traditional (lol at the idea of Buddism NOT being traditional since it's is one of the oldest) religions but it also has many things that would classify it as religious such as beliefs and rituals, origins of existence and teachings on morality.

hellblazer I can never focus on whatever you write on this forum because I'm always mesmerized by that girl in your signature... you should open a new thread and drop some more pics of that bombshell.
