If church was like this, I'd be there every sunday

That's how the church I go to is, well minus the crazy dancing all over the place. There's live bands at the locations and they play the contemporary Christian music you hear from people like Tobymac, have neat videos playing on the projection screens with words to follow along, don't have hymnals, etc.

I thinks that's cool - seriously.
I'm about to google that band - Tobymac is it?

Damn, that ain't half bad. I haven't been to a church in almost 2 years, since my brother passed away (God rest his soul forever...)

Guess I need to hit up one soon esp. since the holiday shopping season is coming up, lol

The riff from about 2:00 was sampled in Public Enemy's "She Watch Channel Zero". I never knew where that sample came from until I saw this video.

Same here - funny it came from Slayer since they were both part of Def Jam at the time under Rick Rubin.

That guy was a true visionary.

I am a church drummer at a pentacostal type church. We dont have the crazy dancing going on, but we do play very upbeat music, mostly funk/latin inspired, but a lot of it is pretty hard - especially for church music.

Its pretty fun.
