To make a long story short....I'm on a vacation in Hawaii to visit my family during the holidays and I've been doing nothing for the last week and a half.

I really would like to work on making more arbit sites and work on my affiliate marketing, but all my resource is back at home (Oregon).

I plan to buy a notebook, so next time I could work on my sites while I'm on my vacation...

can anyone recommend a excellent notebook for travelling? I was looking at a MacPro but was sure how good they were.

Thanks

I had a thread about this not too long ago, and was going to go with a Lenovo, but my sister never really used her IBM, so I took it off her hands after she got the Dell XPS lappy, which I also kinda liked. Lenovo though came highly recommended, and if I ever have an issue with this IBM, I'm going to get a brand new Lenovo instead. I only use my laptop for conferences and traveling, no need for it other than that.

I got my Dell XPS M1210 today. :D Just finished transferring all my files from my clunky HP desktop. I'm loving it. Very compact, light, and powerful. Some might complain that it's a Dell, but the XPS series is much more high quality than that inspiron crap.

We have a company laptop and its a Dell Inspiron, but I don't know the exact details of it. I've never been a laptop user but I've been on vaca for 2 weeks and I really love using it. I actually prefer it over the PC now.

I think we got it for like a grand about a year ago. If I were to pick up another laptop it would probably be Dell again. I am happy with my IBM Thinkpad... doing a good job!
Regarding 2nd hand labtops, if interested, I was always surprised how many offers you can find on eBay. I don't have experience with eBay though regarding buying labtops. :)

I have a toshiba A60 it was good to start with but it keeps overheating now.
My mother has a accer laptop(not sure of the model) but its quite heavy, gotta watch the weight on the accers.

I've got a sony vaio sz series that I'm very happy with.

first notebook i got was a Sony Vaio...had the lil' white 13" screen one....fuckin' HD crap out on me like a bajillion times...finally gave up and sold that POS!

I'm leaning more toward a MacBook Pro, but I always used a PC all my life never did tried a Mac before...

is the Mac OS easy to work with?

also with the new Mac you can run Windows and Apple OS, but doesn't running Windows on a Mac defeat the purpose of owning a MacBook?
