Why don't networks show network EPC?

The only network I'm in that does this is Maxbounty, and I just realized that other networks running hitpath or linktrust don't show network EPCs.

Is there any specific reason for that or is just for the lawls?

Network wide epc is useless, u need to ask ur AM what their top guys epcs are and you can get an idea if they doing directlinking , LP or CPV

We show EPC but we tell our pubs to only use the epc data as rough estimates and not factual data. But like the other guys said, it's pretty useless.

Absolutely, if you log into networks that shows it and decide to run offers solely on that you may end with like 2-3 offers from each network among hundreds lol

LOL at some of the network emails "$4.50 epc's!!!!one111!!" then you ask how they got that number and it's all one big hurrrdurrr fest.

We put it in the initial release of MaxBounty 6 years ago because CJ had just introduced their version of EPC not long before that and it was getting a lot of positive attention from affiliates at the time.

We know that as a metric it doesn't carry much weight, and we have toyed with the idea of dropping it from the system, but surprisingly enough there are still enough affiliates looking for the number. For every affiliate who knows the number doesn't mean much, there are two looking for it.

Maybe it's for the best that networks don't include it. Newbs see an offer with a sky-high EPC and throw all their shitty traffic at it, without split testing different offers first. What really bothers me, more so than not being shown EPCs unless you ask, is when you have to click a link that's well hidden to download a spreadsheet that has promo/coupon codes for offers instead of displaying them in the offer terms/description.

It sucks on CJ. I was kicked off an offer once because my EPC was low and the advertiser "didn't want my ads to lower their EPC and cause them to drop lower on CJ's website".
