Hi! I installed the fix of proper202 on my hostgator server. Everything works fine except that when i type in the url in the address bar, it keeps redirecting me to the Login page (www dot domainname dot com/202-login.php).

How can i fix that?

you could probably get a prosper202 question answered very quickly over at the prosper202 forums

Wait... can you login to your P202 domain?

If so, you need to setup campaigns where you specify ppc network, aff network, landing pages, etc... Only then will you get an affiliate link that directs to your landing page.

If your Prosper domain is *http://www.myp202.com and you type *http://www.myp202.cominto the address bar, then of course its going to prompt you to login to it. Epic fail dude

Nah, you guys aren't following him. This problem is only on hostgator, my friend ran into this a couple weeks ago, don't know if he fixed it or not. You shouldn't be hosting your tracking on shared anyways. Let me try and clarify the problem better for him:

Once you have created your campaign and gotten your tracking links, when you click on your tracking link it redirects you back to your prosper login and doesn't send you to the offer. Then when you login, it just takes you back to your admin panel. So ALL of your traffic goes to your prosper login.

Long story short, whoever clicks on your tracking link instead of going to the offer goes to your p202 login.

Regarding hostgator, does it have something to do with mod_rewrite?

Also, why not shared hosting? Anything other then the fact the you should have a dedi with so many daily clicks?

It has something to do with when they updated their MYSQL tables. They disabled partitioning on all their shared servers, probably saying it causes too much strain.

As far as a dedi or vps, faster redirects, can handle the traffic if you are pushing it, and shared servers can often be exploited through some other tools outdated script, as I have learned in the past.

Easy fix. Contact their live support. Tell them you need them to enable partitioning on a specific URL. They do it, you log in. All good.

Thnx for specifying the problem. Can't believe some dumb ass had the nerve to call me a newbie when they cant even turn $0,01 into a dollar.

I fixd the problem my self bcuz no one replied on the Pro202 forum.

You have to take off the index.php file and replace it with your own index.html.
