Hey guys,

I am attempting to install prosper202. I made my way through the whole process seemingly without a glitch. I transferred all the files with FileZilla. However, I was under the impression that now when I type in my domain, something Prosper202 related is supposed to show up...? I am still getting the parked page from my host (bluehost). Do I need to do something else to complete the process?

Also, though FileZilla shows the files transferred, the database size is still 0MB in my control panel. Does it typically take time for everything to be transfer and be visible on the site, or did I just totally F up somewhere?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The database isn't going to have any data in it until you run the installation and it fills the database.

Are you sure you FTP'd the files to the right location? You should at least see something. Do you have any experience using FTP to transfer files?

And finally, not to be an ass, but did you read the documentation? It should give you the address to go to run the installer.

No, I am a total newby and have no FTP experience. But, I followed some pretty good directions and everything looked to be in the right place while I was in Filezilla.

Is there anything else you need to do in FileZilla after you drag and drop the files over to the database?

The documentation said to go to my url, and the installation would take place from there. I just have the parked host screen there though...hmmm

Did you point the domain host files at your servers IP? Otherwise you might have put the entire folder and not the contents. Make sure you see an index.php file in your public httpdocs folder. That is the first file that is called upon when a browser visits a directory.

You may need to delete some of the files that are already in there. I notice if there is both an index.html file and an index.php file in the same subdirectory, the .html one will win out. Just delete that one.
