On January 31, 2010 at approximately 7:30pm EST, MaxBounty was hit with a denial of service attack. This attack caused our servers to become unresponsive for a period of about 5 hours while we worked with our server management company to address the attack and negate the effects. We were back online at approximately 12:30am EST this morning.
We realize that many affiliates are paying for the traffic they send to our campaigns and firmly believe that they should not suffer financially due to our downtime. As a result, any affiliate that was sending traffic during the 48 hours prior to the downtime will be compensated based on their earnings during that period. This compensation was added to your account with an effective date of January 31st, so that it will be part of your February payment.
If you have any further questions about the downtime or your compensation, please speak to your AM or feel free to contact me.
