Just a heads up to clients.

Part of the scraping that makes my script tick is down and won't be coming back. I'll recover and find somewhere else to pull competition data from but for the weekend at least, don't send any reports to the queue ... they'll just sit there until I get it fixed.

Look into scraping Google link units data (http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads...), it's not exactly the same as sponsored links as its for the content network, but it will still give you a lot of competitor ads and display URLs, plus you get the bonus of checking out graphical banners that work.

Yea same here. My little keyword bot used that page. What's funny is how Google says that the web page showed little usage. What G was really saying is that they want advertisers to pay more cpc instead of finding low competition keywords.

But, IMO I would tend to believe that more keywords you have ads on then the more $$$ you make.

Or maybe G is just flat smarter than the rest of us and they created that page to populate more keywords and now they are going try and build up the cpc.
