Here is the winning code. Also I simplified it and got rid of the popup window.

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
var item = "[itemID]";
var first = "http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-xxxxx-xxxxx-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=xxxxxxxxxx&toolid=10001&campid=xxxxxxxxxxx&customid=&icep_item=";
var last = "&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=xxxxxxxx&kwid=xxxxxxx&mtid=824&kw=lg";
var url = first+item+last;
document.write("<a href=\"",decodeURI(url),"\">Click HERE TO BUY</a>");
</script>

Thanks for the clarification - I did get the link part to work - what I had trouble with was getting the final auction to show up viewable.

What I did was remove the <a href=[link]>stuff goes here</a> (did that by memory, syntax might be off) with the javascript above, leaving the rest of my template intact. What showed up on-screen - even though the link worked - could best be described as appeariing broken (even though the link actually worked).

The javascript itself was visible inside the auction post.

So - can you please post an A2P template example using this? I'd really appreciate it. +rep for what you've done so far.

Bad news. So despite working in the "add posts" for whatever reason when you automate it, it breaks the java script. I'm at my limit here. Someone else have ideas?

I get that too. Looks like after automation, wordpress is stripping out the script tags. When manually adding an auctionpost though, the template works fine.

To fix it:

1. install the inline-javascript wordpress plugin.
2. use this in your a2p template:
Code:
[inline]
<script type="text/javascript">
var item = "[itemID]";
var first = "http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-xxxxx-xxxxx-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=xxxxxxxxxx&toolid=10001&campid=xxxxxxxxxxx&customid=&icep_item=";
var last = "&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=xxxxxxxx&kwid=xxxxxxx&mtid=824&kw=lg";
var url = first+item+last;
document.write('<a href="',decodeURI(url),'">Click HERE TO BUY</a>');
</script>
[/inline]
please note the single quotes in the document.write. The double quotes didn't work for me using the inline plugin.

My EPC was solidly at $0.14 starting in mid-October. Now in the last two days it has tanked to - drumroll please - $0.00.

I'm about ready to pull the plug. I'm going to put that anti-bot stuff in and let it sit for a week or two though.

Thanks Dantex.

Click filtering gonna suck donkey balls?

New Features Coming November 11th

Hello Partners,

We are rolling out new reporting features on November 11th, and we want to make you aware of the new functionality. You will now have the ability to run reports 'By Month' in addition to the current options.

The 'By Month' report is similar to the 'By Day' report, but summarizes and graphs your metrics by month. You must choose a date range and can optionally filter your results for a single campaign, tool and/or program.

The graph for the 'By Month' report will plot data for each month in the date range you selected. You can also change the graph to display daily data for an individual month by selecting that month in the report.

How to run a 'By Month' report

Once you are logged-in to the eBay Partner Network dashboard, go to the 'Run Report' tab and select 'By Month' as the Report Type. Then select criteria from the following filters and click the 'Run Report' button:

Date Range
Program
Campaign Name/ID
Tool Category
Tool Name or ID ( pre-populated when selected)

Transaction Download Report

Please note that under the Quality Click Pricing payment structure, when running Transaction Download Reports manually you will need to run the 'Download all events' option in order to access your report. This option will now be the selected by default. Note that the report content has not changed and that there will be no impact to publishers that automatically retrieve this report via the ePN API. When accessing the report via the ePN API you will need to continue specifying 'Download all Events' in order to access your report.

Click Filtering (on-going enhancements)

We have had a few reports that some of our affiliates have been experiencing issues with bots inflating their click numbers. We have been working on a few additional click filtering rules to continue to improve our capabilities in this area and ensure click counts in ePN are an accurate representation of valid clicks. We will continue to roll these out in the coming weeks.

We continue to try and improve the tools and reporting that is available for our partners. If you have thoughts or suggestions, please send them to Affiliates-Program-US@ebay.com. While we may not be able to respond to all suggestions personally, we value your input greatly.

To your continued success,
The eBay Partner Network Team

Exact same here. $0.14 for all of Sep/Oct, and Nov 3rd drops to $0.00. Furthermore, I haven't had the excessive traffic spike that other are reporting. All of my clicks have been in the exact same ratio to my actual traffic on Google Analytics as they were before.

I have noticed, however, that one of my a2p sites for real estate auction on eBay is making a lot of sales for jewelry, anyone know how on earth that is happening? Some sort of click fraud? Or eBay's tracking not working?

I don't need a monthly report to figure out I didn't earn shit since November 3rd.

In other news, here's one place all of our affiliate dollars are going:

"EBay Inc., the Web auction powerhouse, will provide free Wi-Fi on some Delta Air Lines Inc. planes during the week of Thanksgiving. Logging on will take users first to eBay's holiday page, but they will be free to roam from there."

Someone should tell Delta not to expect a check anytime soon...

The 0.14 must be a conspiracy. Or Ebay just loves that number. I'm cruising either at 0.14 or 0. Ive had some weird stuff happen like go down to 0.12 for a day then back to 0.14 then 0 the next. Extremely random. And there wasn't really any discrepancy in the amount of clicks or traffic.

i just filled out the survey they emailed me. they did not have ratings low enough to demonstrate my disdain for qcp.

I suspect the results to their survey are going to be somewhere south of negative infinity.

I spent an hour or so casually googling and reading forum posts on a ton of different places while I was watching hockey. I saw a small handful of people who were making more money but even they were confused because they have no idea how to put up new sites or expand their existing sites without potentially hurting their earnings.

Of the others I'd say at least half were either considering killing their sites and/or moving them to Amazon.

This was a really stupid idea for eBay. I'd love to know how far their referral traffic has dropped. None of their affiliates are happy - I literally haven't heard of one person who likes this.

If you're still doing EPN traffic/work, you're polishing the brass on the Titanic.

I'm sick of eBay and have been. First they killed a 14k/month ebay store I had when they changed the negative rating system and now this shit. Fuck ebay.

Surprisingly I'm up a bit from last month..hovering around a .20 epc. I can't figure out my click volume though. It's like the Rocky Mountains...800 clicks one day, then down to 200 the next. The daily earnings follow the click volume almost exactly. When i have 800 click days, I make a couple hundred bucks. On the low click days I make 9 bucks. I can't find any trends or maybe I don't have the skills to analyze the data properly to figure out what I need to do, other than find a way to keep getting 800 click days.

I pretty much see the same thing with clicks and not pattern to it.
