Out at ASE had quite a few conversations about skiing and snowboarding with peeps, and Eli mentioned he's tried to organize trips in the past to no avail.

So I was gonna see about getting a group rate on some rooms and lift passes and maybe make a networking event out of it.

Most likely Park City since I could coordinate everything easily that way.

Who's down for some pow? Probably mid February ish.

First of all, make a fucking site for this, else it'll get buried and no one will follow
On the site, make a forum, let folks interested congregate there. This allows for email updates of posts/shit.

If you go this route, I 100% guarantee you there will be a killer meetup.
If you just use this post and as "hey, good idea, who is in, let's talk in December" it won't fucking happen.

That being said, I'm so fucking down for a ski trip in Feb!

i live in salt lake and put together events for sundance film festival. it is the last 2 weeks of january and always a good time. Im down to help get lodging and set everything up since i live here

Solid advice, thanks Nick. I'll get a forum going.

If I organize it's gonna be Utah resorts just because I can coordinate everything easily that way. (Ground transportation, Entertainment hook-up, etc)

Sundance starts two days after Affiliate Summit and rentals can be quite the bitch around that time. I was gonna plan it just after valentines / presidents weekend. I have the hook on rental properties so those that don't want to do hotel group rate can get a cabin or condo.

My plan would probably be a 3 day trip, make the first day an actual networking event, and then have 2 days of skiing and parties.

I haven't been to park city yet so I'd be down for that. Are you considering other places? If so a poll with the potential resorts(whistler/blackcomb, vail, tahoe, snowbird, mammoth, etc) could help settle the shoutouts.

sweet! ya know by now i'm always in. FYI I already do this every year no matter if people decide to come or not around the first and second week in december. I get a big cabin lots of food and booze with a few of my friends and family members (trust me you'll get along with them great) everything is paid for all you have to do is figure out a plane ticket and show up. I take care of the rest. Every year around that time I invite anyone who wants to come, i usually don't make a wickedfire thread out of it, but I'll mass spam aim and irc so if you're interested add me and let me know. :)

I'm used to going to Big Bear, so Park City will be a huge step up from that. Stoked!

This in the southern Cascades? Lift access or backcountry?

its at either mt shasta (norcal), hood or bachelor (oregon) or possibly this year it might be at willamette (eastern oregon). I pick everyone up at the airport and drive everyone there so the distance isn't an issue.
