Looks like someone is making fuck tons of these, using a scraper to generate random tweets and then appending the same link to all of them. Unfollow/Refollow anyone remotely popular with all of them (could be automated) and now the first 3-4 pages of their followers is all fake accounts. 2-3k followers each. I'll bet conversion is low, but click through and impressions is through the roof.

Twitter is pretty much doomed. If people took a moment to at least kind of add value and make semi legit accounts they'd get 10x more conversions and not kill their goose. Interesting none the less.
